While that totally legit leak from that totally legit Sakurai Twitter account is totally legit, I want to remind everyone something:
If Ridley is going to be playable, it's not going to be Prime Ridley. We already know that the Ridley model shown in the Smash Direct is Other M Ridley, so don't trust any leaks that show Prime or Brawl's design.

You also should keep in mind that KI:U is a completely different genre from Smash. Because Smash is basically a fighting game it needs really, really good and different netcode from KI:U. KI:U is like an arena shooter so it doesn't really demand precise inputs in the same way a fighting game does, there's also probably some 'tricks' involved in making KI:U play as well as it did online that a fighting game can't use.
So, just because KI:U had relatively good netcode doesn't really mean anything in relation to Smash because the last Smash Bros. game he made did not have good netcode. And Bandai Namco is definitely fallible in online netcode as, if I recall correctly, TTT2's netcode was not nearly as good as Soul Calibur V's (I didn't play TTT2, just what I read around).

Other M not only fucks its own narrative preceding it as well as the one it currently tells, but retroactively ruins a game that's supposed to be the canonical continuation to it.
Fusion's story is literally fucking nonsense after Other M. Even when Sakamoto disregards the Prime games from the timeline to justify Other M's story it still fucks up.

It is funny, in a genuine way. That's how SmashGAF works, we have big reactions and it makes things more lighthearted. You're right that people should be careful about what they believe, but it's just harmless fun.

Well of course. But so far we only know it's an Other M-styled tail. Nothing beyond that.
Given that Pyrosphere is an Other M stage, though, and Ridley truly is its hazard, it's likely he'd be the Other M-version.
I dobut anyone is seriously upset over it honestly. Slightly disappointed maybe but it's all in good fun.

Hmm. The 3DS' release date got announced 3/4 months before it came out. If we don't get the Wii-U's release date soon I'm gonna assume it got delayed to early 2015 due to debugging/finishing up content.
I know a lot of people say there's no way they'd skip this Christmas but Sakurai can't force the game to be complete.
Edit: Don't forget they did the same thing with Brawl because it wasn't ready.
