I'm disappointed that Daisy and Blood Falcon remained as colors. In fact, they seem to have made yellow Peach look more different from Daisy than before, lightening up her hair by a lot here. I wonder if they removed the Blood Falcon skull on red Falcon's back?
Fierce Deity can't be a proper identified as such while keeping the sword and shield.

Eh, I wouldn't say that. People still talk about him a lot, you always see people talking about how much they preferred Lucas to Ness because of his standard moves, and that includes his grab.
What's Lucas' background? I'm actually curious now.

He's not awful by any stretch of the imagination, he's still really good. It's just a couple of traits I really liked in brawl are no longer present, like spamming back air after a short hop, or pogo bouncing. The rest of him is the same, if not better. His down air spikes faster, I think, and doesn't ever stop (so it's really dangerous off screen).
Late, but you are good people.

Is there any practical problem with a 2 stock tournament? It seems fair enough to me, even if a bit short.
There are a lot of dark Nintendo games. Many just look at the art style and judge it from there and think it's impossible that a dark story can be a part of a cutesy style.
If we want to get into some lore like territory you could take 0² from the Kirby series as Satan since he looks like a fallen angel and he feeds on negative energy. He lives to corrupt others and sends out his minions to posses people.
I saw a video of Duck Hunt in training mode and it seemed the giggle was one of the taunts, he just does it while laying on the side.

About as dark as it gets for a Nintendo game here and yet they still try and have enough comedy to come close to matching Mother 2/EarthBound. To be fair Nintendo has quite a few dark games to their name if you look deep enough, it's just that the Mother series is a pretty big outlier compared to everything else other than some of the older FE games.

ZSS is definitely great but I think Sakurai mentioned Samus as being the best character in the E3 tournament roster.
And then considering
just how tragic the final battle is, with said brother beating down his own father, then finally coming to his senses... and promptly killing himself with electricity and dying in your arms.
It doesn't look like anything has changed about her since the E3 build, to me. She still has a really strong final hit on her Up B (like a lot of characters seem to...) and that was the main thing they highlighted about her that was "really good". But because there was no context given to Sakurai's statement about Samus (whether he was talking 1v1, FFA, or doubles and items on or off) I'd take what he said with some skepticism and not take it at face value. Maybe Samus was "the best" among the playtesters but they left her alone for whatever reason.
People who are playing the game and are used to 3 stock basically want to keep 3 stocks because there's no "huge lead" you can have if it's 2 stocks. That and if you SD, you don't really have "another chance" like you do in 3 stocks (in 3 stocks you'd have 2 stocks still while in 2 stocks you only have one more chance). But honestly, those two things aren't enough to outweigh the benefits 2 stocks offers (spectator friendly, matches are quicker overall, tournaments will go more smoothly because of it and allow more side events to be possible, etc. etc).
There's nothing inherently wrong with 2 stocks.

The moment I saw Bowser Jr./Koopalings in action for the first time post the leak video, I immediately noticed and hated it. It's... fucking eerie dude. They're just sitting there. Not moving at all. Just shaking. Subtly. Ugh.
