I still can't believe there are no decent videos of Mute City's normal form on YouTube. Just short 30-sec stints that barely give you a chance to see the level.

Importers be slacking, yo

I'd record one for you but I don't have a capture card. Maybe makai and I can play tonight and you can watch the stream?

Anyone know what the healing beam does? Is it just for effect?

Wii U better get a goddamn Rogueport stage. Or just any stage from Paper Mario 2.

Just be happy that after all these years we finally get SOME paper mario rep. Better than nothing.

Edit: Also, has this been shared? Reggie announces canadian smash club.

Wait Game and watch has a custom which makes the hammer roll only 1 or 9? That sounds broken. And amazing

has anybody completed All Star with Bowser Jr. Who's in the trophy?
In other news, I've found a total of 654

Here's the presumed list of trophies I haven't confirmed
Lemmy
Morton Jr.

Shadow the Hedgehog

Capsule
Grass
Special Flag
X-Bomb

Bullet Bill
Chandelure
Yellow Ghost (Find Mii)
Poe
Blue Kritter (maybe)
16 bit Cucco (maybe)

For having 600 trophies, I think the reward is Wentworth from Warrior's Way/Streetpass Battle

I have been abstaining from watching videos and streams, but I need to know: how's the stage selection? Weak? Great? OK? What are we talking about here?

Have you seen a Flipnote Frog trophy?

What do you mean by a whole different moveset? If there are literally moves you don't know how to do, then just describe it here and someone will tell you. :)

I'm a total Smash noobie. I understand from the demo that there is an attack and special with moves corresponding to a direction plus the button. There are also smash moves, holds and block. I got all that. But then it starts to get weird when people are saying 'tilt'. What's that?

Just a direction+A while on the ground. A is used for neutral attack, tilts, aerials, smash attacks, and dash attacks. (And pummeling after a grab.)

I might have? I don't remember if I completed it or not. I won't be able to let you know for a couple of hours, and if so, I can do it and send you the reward.

A tilt is when you just nudge the circle pad in a direction and hit the standard attack button. You don't have to flick the circle pad quickly like you do for a smash attack.

Playing Mega Man in the demo has really made me focus on the standard (A) moves available, as they are much more versatile than his specials.

Watch Da Birdie

I buy cakes for myself on my birthday it's not weird lots of people do it I bet

Tilt is just when you push the control stick in a direction and use a normal move...

So, like, you have Up Smash, when you "slam" the control stick up at the same time as your attack, and an Up Tilt, where you gently hold the stick up when you attack.

For example, Mega Man's Up Smash is the Spark Plugs, but his Up Tilt is the Shoryuken.

Thanks, this makes sense. A + Direction is/can be different on the ground compared to from in the air. Thanks!

Special move spammer!

Pro tip: Most character's best moves are NOT their specials, but especially true for mega man.

Well everyone, this is my 300th post. Unless I'm remembering wrong, this means I have officially graduated from Junior to Member.

Thanks to every one of you on SmashGAF for making this possible. :'D

I love you all. It's been a fun ride.

Already well described above, but I'll answer too. Think of a tilt as a light attack, compared to the Smashes as heavy attacks. If you hold down to crouch and then press A while crouching, you'll see your down tilt. Same for walking forward. Up tilts are a little trickier, since up also jumps. Push the control stick lightly half way up and hold it, then press A. From there, it's just all practice to get it fluid.

Have you also been around for 3 months? That or you miscounted. ;)

*checks join date and post count*

Yeah, no idea why you still show as a junior member for me.

Strange. It still says Junior for me. If I'm not mistaken it was 300 posts and being a member for at least 3 months. You already had the month portion taken care. o_o

Based on his profile he has 300 posts and he's been a member since 2012. Hmm

Now I wonder if I'll ever not be a Jr should I ever get 300 posts XD

Maybe it's 301 posts...
Idk. I haven't been active for three months that's for sure.
Or maybe it takes a while to change over?

Oh well, I'm not terribly bothered.

I dunno whether to be relieved that I won't be the only one winless or scared that I'm going to get my ass handed to me relentlessly.
It will be SSFIV3D all over again...
It was my first non-Smash fighting game, and after getting decent at Arcade mode (I could beat a moderately high difficulty level) with Rufus, I tried going online..

So many matches. Never won once. ;-;

Smash 4 at least has for fun as well as ffa/team for glory matches, which could improve your chances.

I played roughly 10 matches for glory and only lost 1 :) It's not too terrible. I'm not great at smash and did pretty well, I think.

Took almost a day for it to update for me, no worries.
Thanks for letting me know. Glad I'm not a perma-Junior. Yet.

Oh, I'm sure I'll do better than I did in SSFIV. Smash has a much more casual community!
I think to date I have only won 2 fights in SSFIV. I am pretty bad at that game.

Not super proficient with How GAF works, is there a way for me to be kept up to date on JoeInky's custom move updates rather than digging through all of the pages of this thread?
