PES 2015 : 1080P 60 FPS on PS4 - 720P 60 FPS on X1

I think they didn't have time or resource to go for 900P. However in time they'll get it to 900P range some day.

It seems that the Fox Engine doesn't scale very well on the XB1. Brace yourself if it's ever used to develop Silent Hills...

It has been long confirmed it's using Fox Engine. They used a lot of time and money to create that engine, most if not all Konami games will be using it.

Is it really that hard to believe?

Most of these games are now developed on the PC and then ported to the consoles.
Xbox One version is likely an afterthought, and the team most likely did not put in the time to optimize it since PS4 is likely the main focus with Konami being a Japanese company.

The PC is getting the same visuals as the last-gen consoles iirc, fairly safe to say PS4 is the lead version of PES2015.

Konami probably needs more time to finetune their engine for the XBO. It isn't any different than last gen's twin HD games, when some PS3 games had lower resolution etc. The difference is of course that the XBO is weaker than the PS4. I think if they do optimize their engine, it can do at least 900p.

Well now I guess fox engine doesn't like XB1 so it's probably going to stay 720p with MSG:pP? Or will the extra time push it to 900p?

This thread is a death trap isn't

Edit -

I think TPP will improve resolution on XBO, but maybe not even 900p.

True should be interesting to watch.

It doesn't mean the game is not developed on the PC.
The most likely scenario is that with Fox engine still a work in progress, the PC version is outsourced and using last gen tech.

PS4 is definitely the platform that gets the highest priority for all Japanese developers.

that's just stupid. Sports game? Is the game THAT good looking? Its hard to believe.

From what I have played of the demo on both ps4 and xbone, it is not good looking enough to warrant such terrible performance. It is not like the game even has effects that could make it somewhat of a showcase like heavy particle use, ssr, or anything similar. Hell, even the models and lighting look pretty craptastic.

I really should be asleep and probably just said something very stupid, care to explain?
There's no need to go in depth, but if a system can push twice as many pixels on screen in a certain game than another system, that doesn't mean a 1:1 ratio in performance...there are a ton of factors to take into account. The engine of a game, the architecture of the system, the experience of the development studio, etc.

I doubt konami cares about XB1 resolution.
They sell most of PES in continental europe and asia where PS4 dominates the market.

Well I said that no sane person thinks that there is a 1:1 ratio in performance so now I think you misunderstood me. I was saying that the PS4 is clearly NOT more than 2x faster than an X1 which is why its odd that the res difference is so large, it's clearly more an issue on the programming side than the hardware side.
