That perfect pivot window is so small, it is basically useless.

The dashdance window is really small (bigger than the perfect pivot) and being able to do that back and forth is very hard. Doing an extended dashdance by doing foxtrots in between makes it easier, but those movements are still very fast.

An actual analog stick will make it easier, but it will still be hard to pull off consistently.

Looking for some people to train with, i'd consider myself an intermediate player with maybe a hint of advanced. Shoot me a friend code if interested, mine is: 5241-2262-5176

it was pretty smooth for me last night.

I might have had unrealistic expectations of it but it was pretty slow, got the loading Smash icon in the corner a few times.

Also I saw those dash dance gifs and I was wondering what the fuck he was doing until I realised the gifs were mirrored.

After playing for a few days, I have to say I'm pretty disappointed that the online experience is still very uneven. I thought they would've learned from how bad Brawl's online was. But it could be my school internet as well. Either way, lag city.

GGs man. You'll get there. Keep rocking that Ness. Careful with your PK Fires. If you noticed, I was anticipating them and doing quick shields to block it and dash grab
Ya I noticed. I was trying to reduce them in later matches but you are fast! Fire hydrant was nasty.

As an frequent Brawl player online just up to last month, I can tell you the lag is night and day better in Smash4. Must be your connection to an extent.

Alright guys, quick one before I go. Who wants to play?

I found a glitch...anyone else experience audio distortion when playing on Spirit Tracks? It only happens on this level, but the music always seems to freak out and parts when someone dies and a BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRZT can be heard...fucking hurts my ears.

Also, I can't stand how the audience cheers sound in the 3DS Version. They cheer for like 2 seconds, and you can barely make them out.

I've occasionally experienced brief KKRSSRSHRSHHSHSSHes on both of my 3DSes, with or without headphones. I'm guessing it's the game...?

Watch Da Birdie

I buy cakes for myself on my birthday it's not weird lots of people do it I bet
Sakurai including Lucas was actually pretty amazing...I sort of think Mother 3 getting the boot was probably not really something he wanted, he clearly likes Mother, Nintendo probably were like "you know we don't acknowledge Mother 3, so you don't either".

Seth Killian needs to replace sakurai
I love Seth Killian, but he hasn't ever made a game, and he handled MvC3 and UMvC3 balance, which is extremely bad in one instance, and highly questionable in another. He called what we now call the best character in the game "mid tier" from testing.

Is there any way to know who the hell everyone is on my 3DS friends list? I'll list someone as something like "QisTopTier", and then when we become friends it updates to a goddamn real name. There's no way I can remember and tell Jordan, Craig, Dan, and Adrian apart and remember who they are on GAF.

As in "Heathcliff"

That's my beef with friend lists. I always forget some people's names.

Yeah, it makes no sense and is impossible to tell who anyone is.

What did you do to beat 'em?

I'm playing Marth, and I think the main issue I had was poor spacing. Marth has a lot of lag on his moves, and they're really only good for killing people if you can hit with the tip when you need to (this does not describe me). So, a lot of the time I'd swing early (and miss) and get hit on the recovery, or I would wait too long (because I misjudged whether he'd suddenly rush at me and whatever I was going to do didn't happen). On the bright side, his Yoshi had some very counter-able tendencies (down-air and buttslam habits when above me), but while they made the matches closer I think he still was pretty dominant.

I felt like I was starting to do better, but of the last ten it was still 7 - 3 in his favor.
