I know we are still waiting for DLNA, but I seriously cant wait to have some background music playing with some Driveclub PS+ ed. when that comes out. It'll be pure gaming bliss.

Man i'm actually pretty excited for this update, have sunset overdrive downloading too but its only at 20% after like 2 and a half hours, my internet is normally pretty solid.

Anyone know if theres any chance 2.0 will actually go live soon? or is it more likely to be this evening?

rebooted my phone, the update came up. i like the design. seems like messages are loading up faster now. Will try later on at night when its busy time.

i wish they can make the messages sync. when you delete on mobile, it deletes on ps4. or when you read on ps4, it shows it has been read on mobile.

Just a thought

edit: how do you add friends on the app? i cannot find a search box

edit 2: seems like they moved the search to a different place. where it was was good

Great news and all... But man it seems to have taken at least a year for them to hit parity with PS3. Must DAT 900p holding them back.

As an aside, I might agree that MP3 playback on a thumb drive is niche, but only because its a half-measure feature that ends up being useless for users who have massive music collections and would like to use internal storage and/or DLNA to play back the entire collection instead of a tiny amount on a thumb drive. Its a baby step in the right direction, but isn't as useful and essentially forces itself to be niche by being gimped.

Sorry I wasn't clear:

MP3 playback on the PS3 was, according to Sony when they got all the requests for it at PS4 launch, a feature that only a minority of PS3 owners used.

They have gone with USB playback because it was quicker to develop, and have said they may develop an internal storage solution, but this is not guaranteed (Gamestop article). My comment on this is that they will probably wait for user response to the USB playback before committing it to the development roadmap.

Hope that clarifies that part of my post.

Re: whining. I'm allowed an opinion, no? The way some of the update threads went you'd think Sony were denying children food instead of software features.

yeah, i barely used it either. loved using during NFS and Burnout sessions, because those games allowed it, but were their other games that allowed mp3 playback?

System, the support website is usually updated later in the day. You can use the site the system checks for updates to get the download link before the support site is updated.

First link will be the update file while the second link is the recovery file for swapping HDD's. When 2.0 goes live the part in the URL that says "2014_0820" will change to "2014_1028".

There was an asteroids-style game that matched enemy intensity to the music. Beat Match Ultra I think.

Playing the game to D&B was insane.
