Oh yeah, of course! But an 18-year-old being married in the US is very rare, despite it being legal. I think it's not against the law for people as young as 14 to marry in some states, even if they're legally not allowed to have sex with their spouse.

I'm not sure why that's entirely shocking, people don't suddenly look like an adult the minute they hit 18. The opposite is also true, you can be in your 30s and still look like you're 16 (which can be either good or bad depending on how you look at it).

If they make themselves happy then good for them. I'm really confused as to why this is news, unless it's because people see getting married under the age of 18 (despite it being legal at 16 in some places including the UK) a shocking thing or something.
