This game looks absolutely incredible in terms of visuals, now that we've seen a good bit with demo it looks fun as well.

The OST sounds incredible in that full demo above as well.

I am honestly surprised no1 has filmed the entire thing yet.

We have bits and pieces of cameras but we should have something coplete by now no?

I know, right?! Seeing bits and pieces of the demo has me wishing I could see a more extensive demo. I wish Ready at Dawn would release a walkthrough of the portion that was shown at PSX but I doubt they will. I think they're pretty content with teasing the game and leaving people wanting more. Jerks! :p

EDIT-

Woah! I wasn't expecting that! lol. Thanks!

Can't see that happening, it seems very much a 'go here, do this' experience throughout.

Yea. Journalists seem to often prefer arcade style pick up and play (rougue likes for instance) and open world games where they can hop in and do whatever. They still like linear games as reviews for certain games have shown, but I think it takes more to win many over.

I'm the exact opposite. I get bored in Open World games and feel the games are often without enough direction.

Huh. It only took like 18 months, but I think I'm finally grasping the gameplay loop in this game. If they can keep the variety in pacing and small interactive moments up, this should be a solid ride at the very least. I like the hectic close quarters vibe in those 2 encounters, and I hope they provide a lot of that. It's still a bit interruption heavy for my liking, but nothing was egregious in that 30 minute chunk with the cutaways being fairly brief. How it'll hold up for replays is another matter.

Hard to gauge how it'll be received. Even with that demo it still feels like a game that hasn't shown its hand yet. I wonder if that's actually the case.

Holy shit that looks incredible!

The demo really puts into better perspective how the game works and plays and really should have been how it was marketed from the beginning.

Shame the guy playing was pretty incompetent though. Hardly used cover, missed cues like marking the rebels, got lost on several occasions where it was obvious where to go next, failed simplistic mini games ect

They should release a direct feed of a dev playing through this demo. It would be glorious.

Looks amazing, wish we had better footage though. That level is huge, thought the levels would be smaller for the graphics being pushed. Gunplay is good, guns are unique and they definitely have pepper to them, the rebels were able to down the player several times. I am really impressed with the sound in this game though, sounds of the 1886 squad chatter, radio guy, npc's and the sound of the guns (pots and pans in the kithchen area) all so clear and distinct, very impressed with the audio.

Thanks for replying (not that I share every sentiment). I'm on mobile. The constant Meming and twisting everything Rad has said over the past six months has been unseemly. You can inform your opinions how you like. The "story at the top of the pyramid" freak out stuff is thought-free spewage. The reactions to this game have been extreme and I don't know why. Even the most vicious criticism of the game seems to be that the gameplay is trite and uninspired, so why the vitriol? Just foeget it and move on like I do with anime vita games.

If people did that then the number of posts on GAF would more than halve. Even you say you move on from things you're not interested in... but I'm pretty sure you've made a few anime Vita fans cry before.

It's just what people do most on the internet, say thoughtless shit in order to fit in and look cool. Once it became cool to hate on The Order (like David Cage, or Michael Pachter, or the Vita...) the floodgates were open and flooded with shit.

I think he was French [video was posted by JeuxVideo] and he did not catch what the game was telling him to do. I facepalmed hard when he failed at sniping.

I'm thinking more mid to mid 75's but below mid to high 50's maybe touching 80's to mid 100's, which in my book means how the fuck do you come to that conclusion looking at 45 min vid?! So it's a rental from me also.

Looks great to me. I was a bit put off by the gameplay demo at the keynote from all the shooting gallery stuff but if it the full game keeps up the variety like that demo seemed to have I'm sure I'll love it. Excited again :D

The one thing that suck is that Sony never allowed Ready at Dawn to open or close a press conference with a live demo like Uncharted.

I'd be in the dick
Does the arc / tesla weapon cause dudes to vaporize into a bloody mist like District 9?
It does :)

Sony seemed committed to making every demo of the game shorter than the original trailer and awkwardly edited. Hopefully the game does well and gets a good reception so that they won't ignore it next time.

There's no point, Loudninja. People in this thread are all defending the order in the other thread with the usual suspects shitting on the game, armed with that awful eurogamer video.
Nah its cool,I wanted to post this because its awesome what they are doing with the game.
