Tsundere=total bitch to you most of the time but secretly (and occasionally overtly) loves you.

I have a male friend who does this to me and other girls. I mind it mostly because he treats me like a child and gets upset when I do things that might contradict that. It definitely feels demeaning.

In real life it certainly is. Im not arguing that at all. Im just saying in the context of anime where it occurs, its already extremely detached from reality. The important thing is separating reality from fiction in this case. A person can think whatever they want about fictional characters, as long as they dont bring that behavior into reality.

I think it's perfectly appropriate to say that when it becomes visible upon approaching it from a vehicle like a car or train. To yell it on the beach shore gives the impression that they were somehow teleported or carried while asleep to the shore.

There are two whings that bug me the most in animes.

1) Sometimes the perception of time is seriously fucked up in anime.
Example: DBZ longest 5 minutes in the history of universe

2) Sometimes characters in anime don't reflect their age.
Example: Ken and Ryu in Street Fighter II V

They are both 17 years old in the anime but are buffed as fuck

The absolute worst is when a character says something shocking to another character, and they just stand there gasping and stuttering for 5 minutes.

Oni (GASP) " Ahhh...Ah....Ahhh...Aaahhh...Ahhhhhh....Ah..."

I've never seen an anime that doesn't do this at some point.

The 'ninja run' was created in the 70's by Shingo Araki (Rose of Versailles, Saint Seiya) in order to make running animations simpler and quicker to draw. Also, it helps expressing the sensation of speed (At least in scenes directed by him)
