Cross save is nice, but it would be better if it was a cloud save... is it? Or must you manage / move your save between platforms manually?

Wasn't it supposed to come out last year, around summer? That's the last I knew and then it sorta disappeared, until now.
Looks like the wait has been worth it though. On paper, outside of the Magicka-esque strategems Helldivers is the kind of game I'd want/wish/dream to make, if it didn't already exist: A top down sci-fi shooter, solo and drop-in/drop-out co-op, dynamic maps and objectives, loadouts, a larger conflict that takes player aggregate actions into account, game-changing perks, jump jets, crazy difficulty with friendly fire always enabled. Yeah, this has me written all over it.
Any word on whether this is 1080p @ 60fps? I know its been asked but I haven't seen an answer yet.
Edit: Looks like there was a GAF thread to confirm 1080p @ 60fps back in February '14.

Yes. There is a game list which plenty of filters. There also is a SOS stratagem that increases the likelihood that random players will join your game.

Haha. That's how I caught it, though. I double-checked.
I was busy uploading reviews to N4G and whatnot. Got my wires crossed for a second.
Not even joking, this gif made me buy the game.
Trying to boot this up on my PS3, it notifies me about "update 1.01". When I tell it to download and apply the update, the PS3 just reboots itself. Controller turns off and the PS3 itself reboots all the way back to the XMB without any issues.
Deleted the game and downloading it (slowly) again to see if it fixes anything, but I didn't find any reports of that happening anywhere.
I hope my hard drive is not dying.

Its great because I've long been a fan of this kind of top down perspective, but most of the games that make use of it are overly simplistic or medieval fantasy riffs on Diablo. A shooter, a sci-fi shooter at that, and one with meaty weapons, tactical options and decent progression thats not just a mobile phone cash-in (*cough*Halo Spartan Assault*cough*)? Count me the fuck in. Sir.
And you get a cape. With a skull on it if you want.
There is nothing not to love about this so far.

Not sure,but buying the game once for all platforms at the cost of a quick copy and paste wouldn't be so bad.

Just an update: I re-downloaded the game, went into the Triangle menu, updated it through there, it downloaded a 18 meg update and ran without a hitch - I don't know if it was the re-download or getting the patch without starting the game, but I'm now playing Helldivers.
Game is alright! I don't know if it's 20 dollars (18 with +) alright, but you do get it in all 3 platforms, so it's okay I guess.

Just finished playing this for about 7 hours straight at a friend's house. We intended to just "check it out" for an hour and got completely sucked right in. Almost leveled to 13.
Damn, this may be the most fun I've ever had in a twin-stick shooter. The challenge is sooooo right. I was gonna wait until Bloodborne day to get a PS4, but dang it, I want to go drop cash tomorrow just so I can play this.
