Which brings another question. Is there a Hollow/Soul form in BB? I remember back when the game was announced rumors that
you would eventually turn into a beast.
I actually had a dream last night where I was playing Bloodborne and my character was slowly turning into a beast the more I died. Eventually his body and face became elongated and he grew a tail. He also started walking on all fours and could no longer use any of his weapons.

The NPC hunters in the game instead of being friendly started attacking me, but the werewolves helped me out... Eating the now dead hunter completed my transormation into a beast. As I was about to play in full on beast mode the dream ended :'(

I hope it won't get a 9 or 10 score. That would make the wait even longer.

Ugh, reminds me of how early the embargo was up for the Last of Us. I think it was like a week of looking at nice scores without being able to play.

And they made him a Lord of Cinder. Not for virtue, but for might. Such is a lord, I suppose. But here I ask. Do we have a sodding chance?

From what I can recall, the last time EDGE gave a review the cover story it was Skyward Sword. Might be looking at another EDGE 10 then.

Edge has just tweeted that their review will be out in tomorrow's issue. Amazing cover.

That's a sexy cover.

14 days before EU release and we're already getting reviews? The wait is going to be painful.
I want to know the score but avoid all spoilers.. Feels like Sony/From is really confident with so early embargo, already loving it.

It's going to be an exclusive if they're hyping like this.

I'd wait for confirmation that it is an actual review and not some click bait "verdict" about the potential of the game.

I will flip a table if that ends up being the case. Does anyone know if print magazines get super early copies or not?

It is possible. I was speculating the same on twitter… May be they got exclusivity to publish earlier than others

I have to say, if this is the actual review and its getting released this far in advance, that means that they have a lot of confidence in the game. You know that the publisher likes a product when they let reviews out far in advance.

Very Heartening.

Time to tweet Edge!!

lol so true. nowhere in that tweet or cover does it say "review."

True. Although verdict sounds pretty final and so weird to post coverage so close to the game coming out.

Yeh they'd never give it the cover unless the review was insanely good. 9.5 or 10 I'm guessing.
Metacritic scores...
(Metacritic is stupid, I know.)

Demon's Souls: 89
Dark Souls (PS3/360): 89
Dark Souls 2 (PS3/360): 91

Unless FROM pulls something crazy and unexpected, I don't think it'll go as high as 9.5 or 10. The Souls games are just too niche for that. But given the fact that FROM didn't really put much effort into Dark Souls 2 and it cruised away with a 9/10 score. Bloodborne's scores should be home safe as well.

the official bloodborne twitter account retweeted the edge tweet so it may in fact be a review.

Though, they have been pretty aggressive retweeting all preview content too.

Here's hoping for a review, a good one at that.

That's pretty insulting towards the dev team to be honest. Many people on this board might not like the game but you can be damn sure the devs busted their asses to make it.

I think he means dev time.

DS2 was in development a full year less than Bloodborne.

That's metacritic, people are talking about Edge, which may very well give it a 10. An average of 90+ would actually need some scores to be 10, because that's how averages work.

So that thing about somebody invading someone else's game is pretty much mandatory? I absolutely love everything about this game but I didn't get near Need for Speed Rivals for that very reason. I don't want humans barging in my game.

Is there a way to disable it? Or is it mandatory?

You can play with the game while disconnected from PSN I believe, otherwise it's up to chance.

Well, you could play offline. No other way to disable invasions.

Personally, it's never been a problem to me. In DkS2 it was so infrequent, I'm pretty sure I've been invaded less than a couple of dozen times throughout my ~100 hours of gaming on both PS3 and PC.

As long as it doesn't give me a headache from playing offline, I'm good. LittleBig Planet 2 would ask for a sign in every 30 seconds and it would drive me mad.

I've only been invaded twice in Demon's Souls. One of them while I wasn't in the room. I still remember that "what in fuck's ass?!" moment because I had completely forgotten about that function in the game. I didn't like it, though, but I guess it's a small price to pay for playing this game.

Thanks to both!

Honestly, I'm not a massive fan of it myself, but like you said, it's a fairly small price to pay. Engaging in jolly cooperation is far too fun for me to play offline.
