Well they were just bought by Kadokawa so that's not happening.
It doesn't really matter though. Considering after the multiplatform success of Souls they were still willing to go back to one platform, it's not an issue.
If Bloodtinge is tied to how much damage your gun does, wouldn't it be possible to one shot enemies? They're meant to stun enemies so it would be possible to stun lock or one shot, correct?
6 weapons?
Yeah I'ma try to get a PS4 this year. Just for this. No other game will be purchased only Bloodborne. This is pretty much worth it. I need this. But I still feel insecure about not finishing Dark Souls yet. I feel like I need to eat my veggies before I have my dessert.
I just finished reading the article and they're not really criticizing it. They're just trading one form of replayability for another. Instead playing around with different builds in a completely static world over and over, you're getting fewer weapons to play around in completely new levels (chalice dungeons). That sounds better to me, and Edge seems to agree. Souls games eventually run out of steam because there is only so many times I can run through Anor Londo. Does it really make it different whether I'm killing knights with a greatsword instead of a katana?
You do have a point but whynotboth.gif.... it may make PVE more interesting for longer, but PVP will suffer, playing the same "looking" character with the same weapons over and over...( and yes the best weapons where most definitly used in Ds2 pvp and thats it, but choice is never a bad thing.) I know nothing really, too tell you the truth I fucking cant stand previews being soo ambiguous, even though I know why. I'm mean really why don't they just fucking show use a vid about how this game will work in detail.. seems like it would cut out alot of people worrying about it lol me included. I'm sure this will happen a few day before launch but still.. I just wish this game would fucking come out already.
For me though its different than most of gaf that lovvves Miyazaki.. I mean with all this A team and B team talk... does anyone know if they are in separate buildings or did anyone from B team help with this game after DS2 came out at all... DS2 was my game of the year last year. (The Lighting-Gate thing never really affected me or bothered me at all) I know this will be the closest DS like game I will get for awhile... I'm still reluctant, even though playing so much DS2 really did make me more of a calmer player(all because of one ring lol )..even though I have beaten harder games in the past that drove me into the fucking wall with anger. I guess I should just say fuck it about going dark and just watch all the videos and stuff I can about it... I just really dont want to waste 60 and hate it... Because I've never really loved a Miyazaki game.
Didn't the Souls games have crossbows and ranged magic? Seemed to work out fine there.
Only found 6 or so weapons and 6 or so guns in 40 hours
Did not beat the game but they feel like it is less replayable than its predecessors (this does not count the Chalice Dungeon or multiplayer components)
this makes me sad the most :/ seriously..

same to me
i liked the variety of weapons and armors in souls games.

I'm wondering if stun locking enemies will be easier if the stat is high enough.Yup it seems you could actually go for a guns only build if you spec your character accordingly. We also dont know what effect, if any, bloodgems will have on guns. You can even use your own blood(health) to make more bullets if you run out. I know what ill be doing for my second playthrough.
I'm not sure if you misread my post or quoted the wrong person but I don't care about the number of weapons. I have too many in my inventory in Dark Souls 2. I was asking for information on potential stun locking abuse.Who can say when that alone can be viable. Anyway people are already descending into madness from not playing the game i hope and not bottomless stupidity. It was already stated in the recent dengeki article that there are more weapons than we have already seen so of course it is stupid thing to worry about.
Since you guys read 6 weapons and 6 guns as 6 weapons and no guns, most of the confused people seem to malfunction when reading short sentences.
I always forget about this shot. I need that equipment, by any means.
This was literally my face when reading that post.

Not loving a Miyazaki game That's Unpossible.
How long did it take on the first time?
20 bullet cap? Hope that can be expanded, I really want to do a gunslinger run.

I wonder what they mean by that? A lot of the replay value for me comes from playing through the game with different classes. I usually go through first with a heavy weapons user. Then a magic type. And I keep on experimenting. Makes the game feel fresh everytime you go through. I don't think that's been changed with Bloodborne.

Demon Souls hated it
Dark Souls liked it a little
Dark Souls 2 LOOOVED it...
Lol Handy Fake.
I say pvp becomes better because from doesnt have to worry about balancing 100 different weapons.
Neoism get the game. Listen to my soothing voice....everything before was but merely a dream....you really loved Dark Souls and Demons.
Seriously though just wait to see if youll enjoy it. The game clearly takes more from the originals than Ds2 so you may very well not enjoy it.
As long as it doesn't artificially inflate the games length from soo much walking because there is like 10 warps throughout the whole game( because I loved the bonefire warps in DS2)... That was one thing I liked about DS but it didn't bother me at all for the lack of it in DS2. I mean I guess in a way Im a chicken-shit gamer... I really like hard games but not soo fucking hard they make me not want to play it... DS2 was easier in that sense.. even though you still died a shit load.. I just really hope they're isnt a way to like really LOSE progress in this game... like permanently. Like going down in levels because you suck at a boss or dying too many times or what have you... guess I will find out....Discrete areas flow together to create a believable world" - separating the hub from the main game-world allows the world itself to be more coherent, interconnectivity is present and very complex throughout the game - they compare it directly to Dark Souls' "falling apart" in the second half and say that unlike Dark Souls, Bloodborne maintains its dense, interconnected world design through the other game. They say several areas rival Firelink Shrine in terms of interconnectivity.
Well you like shit games. HATE TAH BREAK IT TO YADemon Souls hated it

Makes sense.I dont think the guns will be able to infinite stunlock especially considering player recovery times are much faster. Theres also no stat to indicate this. Only stat has to do with damage output.
Yes I didn't factor in the player animations or larger sized enemy. A gunslinger build will be about pure skill if done correctly. The stun is quite brief unless you do a riposte/counter shot (which is very skill based, like parrying before). Bullets are capped at 20 (as of alpha at least) and they run out quick. There are too many enemies to just spam bullets at them one after another. There is a recovery animation on shooting as well, so it's not at all like guns are easy mode.
Sorry for the confusion. Dual wielding weapons would be so cool.only the first sentence was directed at you. Stun locking wasn't much of a deal on bigger guys in the alpha.Only when you shot them at the right timing when they are about to attack you, which would be a riposte. I imagine you need a lot of bullets to actually stun-lock enemy's and bigger monsters would be harder to do that with. You would have to make a would with that in mind, like the gun-blade and gun combo.
maybe easier games are more your thing. /jk
DS2 has a more graspable style to it, where it tells you more about the things in the world.
Most people though will hate on the graphics downgrade, story etc..things they will not budge from and make blood sacrifices to curse those who liked it or defend it.Try making a conversation with those guys.
I wish people wouldn't simplify Dark Souls II's issues to "too easy". I honestly didn't think it was substantially easier than the other two games at all.
Dark Souls II is a really badly designed game made by people that totally missed the point of what made the older ones good, but I wouldn't call it easy.
One thing that cannot be denied: the environments are ugly and an eye sore. I'm currently playing through it now and it's an assault on my eyes. Here goes the DS2 hate again... This shit will never end.
Just to make sure i was joking about the too easy part.
A lot of people will bunch up on the too easy train, for beating bosses on their first try which is an individual experience.
