Male designs are ok but the female designs are pretty weak or straight-up bad. tri-Ace's other 3D games usually look at least ok, but Star Ocean never did too well (and apparently still isn't doing too well) at transitioning the artwork to 3D models.

Unless they're placeholders I also just noticed this seems to be reusing enemy designs from SO4. Meh.

The only character I really like is the witch, I like her drill hair and since the day I became a Jojo's Bizarre Adventure fan the more crazy the outfit the better. Maybe I have a thing for diamond patterns since some of my favorite characters in Jojo are Anasui and King Crimson.

I haven't played any Star Ocean game but I hope this one is good, I crave for a old fashion RPG like Secret of Mana.

tri-Ace should really let Square model their characters.

Either way, the design itself is fine, and the environments look great. Can't wait for actual footage of the game.

Atelier models also follow an extremely moe design, yet they look beautiful. Miki's face looking this bad has nothing to do with being moe.

That's the style that's been around for a long time.

I think the anime style of the 3D models is much better than the halfhearted "halfway" designs they went with in the fourth game.
