It's kind of weird that boss battles are a stretch goal though. I mean I funded but it sounds like if it stopped right now it'd be a half a game..

Happy to see it funded.

I am kind of burned out on kickstarter at the moment, but I'll look forward to hearing more about it if they end up getting it on Wii U.

Haha, already funded. Seriously though, the stretch goals are in the wrong order. They're all over the place. Console versions should be way higher up on that list, for starters.

I'm thinking of backing it too; would be my first Kickstarter if so. But I really only want to donate if all platform versions are released simultaneously, and that's a whopping one million pound goal for that.

For what its worth the original Banjo barely had bosses outside of Gruntilda. There was like that crab in Treasure Tove Cove, and im blanking on if there was anyone else.

For you.
So torn by this, love Banjo Kazooie and have been waiting for a sequel or spiritual successor for years now, but I'm wary of Kickstarter and all the horror stories over the years of games never releasing or matching their promises.

It looks like it'll meet all the goals without my tiny contribution anyway so I'll give it a miss.

Why are you going to the horror stories when there's so damn many Kickstarted GOTYs released in the last few years?
This is also by a team full of experience. I don't see what's to be afraid of here.

If the stretch goal isn't met it would be like Banjo-Kazooie which only had Grunty and the box in Rusty Bucket Bay, unlike Tooie where there was one in every level.

Hey remember when Banjo Kazooie 3 got transformed into some kind of vehicle game because supposedly 3D platformers didn't hold any interest anymore?

Yeah they released a lego game with free banjo skin dlc pre-installed, instead. Was a fun game but not a Banjo game.

Ironic the game with the chameleon and bat will be more loyal to Banjo-Kazooie than a game with Banjo-Kazooie in the damn title.

Fucking amazing this is already funded! Sassy big gaming publishers didn't fund something like this in 15 or so years to make this a reality, but here we did it in under 40 minutes! This is the beauty of the Internet. Can't wait to play this already exciting looking game!

$7,850 for a concert with Wise and Kirkhope at Mozart Hall in Germany, then dinner with them and the rest of the Playtonic Team, and all of the previous rewards?

Out of my price range, but that sounds amazing.

Kirkhope and Wise soundtracks on the kickstarter page...Oh my god. I'm head over heels that we get both these geniuses working on the tracks for a spiritual successor to my childhood favorite game!
It's going to shatter that top goal before 46 days, calling it. 38 minutes to beat the bottom goal.

At this rate it'll reach that by bed time

You are right, Shovel Knight and FTL are some of my favourite indie games in the last few years, it's just still a big risk to me. I guess I've wasted money on worse things recently so it's made me a bit wary, I bought The Order full price on release....

Might bite the bullet though as the music is so good!

Edit: Do all the rewards that say "Digital Deluxe" include a console version instead of PC? Don't want to get fucked over by limited choices.
