Konami takes down Super Bunnyhop video (Kojima vs Konami) with copyright strike

Konami going to Konami.
Also my issue with copyright is shown, you can get flagged for having an opinion.

Edit: Wow, Konami cannot even release a complete copyright strike now. Says a lot about their modern games.

Any other takedowns for less-defended folks?

At least they knew how to remove PT from the PSN, destroying a little part of the video game heritage.

I just hope Kojami and his team will be able to finish MGS V, and then found a new study (Sony?) to move on into new projects, even if Konami keeps the licences (only not to use it because gambling and mobile or mobile gambling are better).

This sounds familiar with a lot of game publishers that have or will have massive layoffs. I think the fact that this is Konami and Metal gear series is a... like.. like Mario games in terms of lineage and as a IP for the company(I mean there is bemani but, you know metal gear). The fact that we won't possibly ever see it in it's traditional form(third person action) is frightening and a change in the industry. Maybe there will be MGS and ZOE...

On one hand, I don't like the "guilty until proven innocent" mentality on youtube to keep your videos up.

On the other hand, it has helped show how desperate konami was to get this video taken down. They couldn't even provide the proper information to do so in the first place.

very little from them would surprise me right now, what with the complete shitshow this has all been so far.

think i'll grab a used copy of MGSV, konami can go chase whatever they want from gambling & other venues.

Dude, it's a play on this:

GIF pulled from this video, if you for some reason need context: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c3BAsxLUcjc

I dunno, for me when I see a plane flying into a building on purpose I think of 9/11 and when it's played for lols with the building being a video game publisher I think of kids that are all "fuck them, they should just die" and not that one time when people thought Konami was on fire but it was just steam or something.

The emotionally-charged tone of that guy's email reminds me of the emails I'd get from old colleagues who decided to stay at the gaming company I once quit from. "Burn the franchise to the ground" sounds overly-hyperbolic but thats how you feel when upper-management puts a stop to something that you consider your baby.

Much as the idea of Konami screwing up a DMCA is hilarious, isn't it also possible that someone issued a false takedown attempt on the video and youtube reversed that once publicity rained in?

(Legitimately asking here, I don't know much about how youtube takedown works)

If it wasn't actually Konami Youtube would have said so. They explicitly say the form was filled incorrectly.

Which means back it up at the highest quality level, and be ready to repost it when it goes down again. (With respect to Super Bunnyhop's wishes and ownership of the video.)

This is just such a special day for Konami isn't it? I should say Konami leadership. I feel genuinely bad for the hard-working talented developers trapped in the 10th Circle of Hell that is Konami.
