To be fair honestly, TLG will make waves across forums, but will the title even hit a million units? Like even if it's good, it's kinda a touching, silent story about a boy and his new found friend. Not sure video-games are user friendly enough for that type of emotional gameplay session to be carried into mainstream. I think a lot more women would enjoy it, but get scared away by the controller.

Doesn't matter.

TLG just needs to come out, so that resources can finally be lifted off that team (even if Ueda is no longer there) to do something else..

Isn't Shu big into Persona?

Yep

Shu may love Persona, but he's not in charge of marketing.

That's true, but when P4 was releasing did you ever think you'd see something like this on a major Sony conference stage outside of Japan

It seems like there are a lot of people within Sony that are big fans of the franchise.

there has been a constant discussion in the persona community thread. I'm pretty sure sony would put up P5, but it would mostly rely on Atlus Japan providing something new. With the P5 blu-ray coming like the next week, no idea if they would want to provide something just for E3.

I forgot about Horizon. That would please me deeply if it shows up.

Barring the unknown megatons, it's arguably my most anticipated E3 game. A lot of risk by Guerrilla...they could of played it safe with another shooter - the type Sony actually needs in its portfolio. WRPG is also something they needed too soo....

Putting my severe doubts aside, if The Last Guardian does actually show up in some capacity, I do wonder what kind of game it is at this point. I mean, I feel like there's a good chance that it's not even a full-on $60 retail game at this point and has become a more scaled-down experience. Do I sound completely foolish to suggest that?

I've wanted to see GG get away from Killzone for a while. I actually like the Killzone games including SF. When I heard they were making an RPG I was like "YISS!". Then that concept art started floating around. Robot Dinos? Hell yes! GG has got some talent and I really believe that they are going to deliver something special here. I cant wait to see it. Hopefully its out in 2016.

I'd say you're already seeing it. Look at Sony's relationship with Capcom right now. Other than that you have Star Ocean, Persona 5, Tales of Zestiria, Dragon Quest Heroes, etc. Then you have the multiplatform titles. The PS4 already looks like a much better console for Japanese games than the PS3 ever did.
Absolutely. It has that advantage over the Xbone. And while those games aren't big to the mainstream, what it does is diversify the PS4's library a bit.

You can't really claim something will be at a conference in May, hell not even in June cause these companies change their schedules on a whim. So much shit gets cut minutes before the show.

I'm holding onto my TGS 15' prediction. Come at me.

lol.
I kind of feel like it's the boy who cried wolf at this point though. Heard so many times in the past that it was supposed to be at X event then it got pulled...
I don't know what to believe anymore.
Lol, I still think they're gonna pull TLG and save it for PSX 2.0. It seems like a more core-focused event. I would also hope that after such a long time, they won't re-reveal TLG until they have a set release date, and pushing the reveal further back makes for a quicker turn around.

But yea, my speculation is just that. Speculation.
I think this year will be good - something for everyone for the most part. I'm excited for the renewed Japanese presence.
And I like how you've been saying this lately. Gives me hope that the recent revving of support from Japan is only the beginning of healthy support.

Bloodborne DLC Trailer finishes

Black out

Cue new Bloodborne trailer. Player character is seen on the Old Bridge about to face of against the Cleric beast, saw blade ready. As he/she takes a few steps forward towards the beast, a sound of clanking foot steps can be heard running up behind him/her. Just as the player character turns they are knocked down as a bony skeleton clad in armor rushes past running towards the beast. Then another figure runs by, a small boy with an electrified net, then another, a young man smoke surrounding him. Cutscene ends as the camera moves up to look down on the bridge similar to Power Stone-like view as four health bars pop up labeled Dan, Spike, Delsin, and Hunter and then one huge bar labeled Cleric Beast.

Cue 4 player 3D brawling as the Cleric Beast rushes across the bridge back and forth knocking players off the bridge as the characters chip blast away at the beast's health bar. The players beat down on the cleric beast with blasts of smoke, sword swings, gadgets, and molotovs.

Cue cutscene

Hunter moves in for the final swing and gets knocked down by one last swipe from the beast just before it explodes in light. As the hunter lies on the ground the camera pans up to, Spike, Dan and Delsin glaring down at him. Delsin cracks a smile as Spike starts giggling and Dan reaches down to offer a hand to the downed hunter. Just as the hunter reaches to grab Dan's bony hand cue title card.

Playstation Battle Royale 2!

Trailer begins with a set of dune buggies, motorcycles, and trucks racing through a forest somewhere in north america. The group is racing in a river kicking up water, knocking each other left and right, as fir trees fly by. They approach the end of the river pushing through the boulders and small rapids. Suddenly all the cars come to a screeching halt, smashing and sliding into each other at the edge of a waterfall.

Their motors sit in idle as a new sound can be heard.

A new sound can be heard in the distance, similar to a fighter jet. Camera pans up behind the wall of autos and you can see what looks like 2 or three motorcyles coming up the rear very fast. Just as the motorcycles look like they are about to hit the stopped cars, they jump over the pile revealing themselves to be prototype Jet Moto bikes. They go flying down the waterfall splashing into the water below.

Camera moves into a gameplay race between the 3 motos, ducking and diving between trees and river banks, busting through abandoned homes, and ripping by spectating fishing boats. The stopped cars from the waterfall are soon seen racing along the banks of the river. Race accumulates in a huge finish with all of the cars, trucks, and jet motos squeezing past a narrow finish line.

'Jet Motorstorm' flashes across the screen.

Very much so.
