Because they told us early spring and we're almost at the true start of summer. Why wouldn't people be upset about missed deadlines? Especially from 343 where it's become the norm to miss deadlines?

I mean, I would think that it working on release is more important than just releasing a broken mess. I'd hope that 343 have learned their lesson after the debacle that MCC caused. That said, Halo isn't what it used to be at all. I even enjoyed Halo 4, but this is making me glad I didn't get an Xbox One just for the fact that I know that Halo 5 would've been one of my most anticipated games.

Halo 4 campaign was fantastic though and showed they knew what they were doing. Multiplayer was divisive at worst.
I wouldn't judge halo 5 off of the mess that is MCC. Most of MCC was outsourced to other studios.

They got their 3 strikes with me when i came back to the MCC like 3-4 months after launch and still had problems playing with friends. Completely washed my hands with anything 343 is involved with. (strike 1 was how terrible H4 was and strike 2 was how completely broken the MCC was at launch and a week later and a month later)
Not saying i won't play Halo 5, i will borrow it from a friend down the road but i will never buy a halo product at retail new as long as 343 is involved.

Dude, Summer doesn't start until the end of June... Also what has 343 missed deadline wise? Halo 4 came out on time, same with MCC. The only problem 343 has had is with MCC updates, but those were not usually given exact release dates to begin with.
