Fuck. Why do I keep falling for Halo's ?
I've been saying I don't care for the series anymore for a while, then previews hit and my secret halo spot starts itching.
Deal on xbone+halo+fm6 and I'm there. Probably.

They're not. They cover S4 augments in New Blood. Mostly drugs and not quite as crazy surgeries.

edit: beaten.

I doubt it would take 10 4s for 1 2. That's a confusing sentence.

Yeah, I think Spartan 2s have an edge because of their life-long training, the combination of augs (albeit less intense) and superior armor puts the 4s up there with the 2s on a theoretical level of strength and agility. The 2s have a life of military service starting at age fucking 6 which trumps any armor/augmented advantage though.

Master Chief dies in the first ten minutes of Gameplay when the giant Promethean boss just fucking smacks him down after coming out of nowhere. Who thought this was a good idea? Battling it out with some Covenant and then he dies? Gee that was fun. The rest of blue team had to spend the rest of the game trying to revive him while defending against Locke and the Prometheans. I really wanted to play as the Chief not his long forgotten sidekicks from deep in the lore. They don't even have good abilities and their personalities were likable at best. Not only that but they sucked at driving. I just wanted to turret dammit but no! Run into the rocks! The prometheans were just as boring to fight as in Halo 4. They had predictabled and tedious movements that could easily be predicted. By the end Master Chief is saved just in time for an "epic" battle with Locke that is interrupted by that huge promethean boss. After spending 20 minutes beating the shit out the promethean's weak spots with the assistance of your friend Locke it dies. Woo that was fun/s. Once the promethean was taken out you get to play for 10 more minutes as Master Chief by battling it out with Locke. The ending is disappointing as fuck. Ill let you guys see it for yourselves. But any long time fan will be disappointed. The best part was that the areas were open worldish and the environments never got repetitive.
This is real. Cause I said so.

Spoilers:
Cortana's silhouette is seen by the Chief after he's separated from Blue Team, she says: "John, the domain is open. Meridian is next. You only have 3 days, John. The Reclamation is about to begin."

Word of Buck in Halo 5 has one of my friends considering an Xbox, bam, just like that.

Never underestimate the power of that hell-jumping space cowboy.

Wonder what this means?

My guess? Campaign style MP with all the bells and whistles. Cutscenes, more campaign like objectives, players starting out from different sections of a massive, massive map, possibly even fighting campaign style AI enemies along the way while also encountering actual human players.

Is there a skill based ranking system and consistent starting abilities/gear?

Didn't play the beta. Still don't own an Xbox.

Is this a sequel to Halo in the way that Halo 4 wasn't?

I already clarified what I meant with the augmentation thing.

As for the 10 vs 1. I can't find the the source. I'm not sure where it was, but I can definitely remember that when they talked about Spartan 4's behaviour in detail.

It probably looks the same, because it's on a human ship again. The Forward Unto Dawn and Infinity also looked kinda the same, eventhough they are 2 completely different ships. Curious about how other things will look like.

One major advantage the IIs have over the IVs that tends not to get brought up in comparisons is the literal lifetime of experience. In terms of augmentations they're about on par, with the IIs having maybe a slight edge; the IVs are less extensive, but more advanced.

Frankie, this may seem like a really obvious question but i'd just like to make sure. Can Halo 5's campaign be played offline?

Thank you for all this wonderful new information!

The arena portion played like a more traditional style of Halo with equal starts, map control, etc. And the beta did have a decent ranking system but it could've used a few tweaks.

I'm guessing the rest of the multiplayer that's been kept under wraps will be a giant BTB clusterfuck of everything else.

I hope revives being a thing means there's an MP mode with some sort of ability to play as a medic.

Always thought there should have been an Armor Ability in Reach where you carry the wound sealant canister from ODST. Pressing the button near a teammate starts a third person animation where you grab your teammate and stab them in the chest with the canister, healing them.

I think Stinkles basically confirmed that it isn't in this thread or one of the new ones.

This is a CAMPAIGN feature, obviously. Not MP.

Sarcasm though Idk

[*]Teases a "completely new, epic multiplayer experience" they'll reveal at E3. Incorporates "all aspects of the Halo sandbox for the first time ever"
[*]This MP experience is described as a "dream of ours and all our fans to build something like this"
[/LIST]

if it has loadouts and ADS its no dream of mine.

essentially its like when halo 4 was being developed; we want a CoD with Halo skin.

well not me 343.

I wonder how this new mode will compare to Reach's Invasion mode.

Online gameplay that isn't behind gold?

... that doesn't sound very Microsoft.
Hungry Microsoft is the best Microsoft.
