Dutch journalist: Guerrilla IP "is RPG", shown during Sony Conference

If nothing else, this game is going to be a looker. As in, quite easily the prettiest RPG released on consoles. Now it's everything else that I'm worried about with this game, GG don't make very good games besides KZ2.

Please don't believe everything these guys say, they are the only game media in our land, yes but to give you a context there where people there who really thought last year Microsoft would buy Nintendo at E3.. I rather avoid them myself and got on sites like Neogaf and Gametrailers because of this..

Other then that, yeah ofcourse it could happen..

bwahahaha. the dream is dead.

They've hired some great talent lately. Writer from Obsidian, a couple people from CDPR, and others. They seem well aware of their weaknesses and are hiring to fill those out for this game.

They are not the only game media in the Netherlands and he was 100% certain.
It wil be shown.

Anyway, Guerilla created a Twitter account just before E3.....

Its a very exciting prospect. I love seeing new IP's at E3. Especially ones that look as cool as this. (Albeit "looking cool" is based on having only seen that art work.)

Well name another one which does get weekly air time and where you feel they really got ground in the media world in our country?

Not saying it cannot happen. But I often find Gamekings not that informed where I don't see those things on American Media outlets..

It's Guerilla. After the ok-ish KZ: SF and generally the whole ok-ish pseudo-Halo killer franchise, i have low expectations regarding this. I expect mind-blowing graphics and above average gameplay and...that's about it. I hope i get proved wrong...

I have a lot of respect for Guerilla's technical achievements, but nothing they've done makes me feel optimistic for a new game of theirs. The Killzone series has always decidedly middle of the road, not to mention loaded with cliche. A medieval RPG - which is perhaps the most predictable and stereotypical genre of game there is - doesn't exactly inspire confidence.

Well now you just narrow it down to air time on tv.

And what about the history? You don't expect nothingg this time?

Not really, i'm talking about holding ground in the media world. The only one which comes to mind is Insidegamer.

But again. I'm saying it may happen or may not happen, just don't pin them to it because of reasons given above.

Their gameplay is top notch, they have the best gunplay out there. Here's to hoping that a change in genre brings out in the best of them, I will play it due to the concept sounding absolutely crazy and I have a soft spot for them what with KZ2 being my most played MP game by far.

I really hope this is good. I have no doubt that it will look crazy but I really hope that they manage to get it to play as good as it looks too.

I wonder if they'll have a really annoying dinosaur in it called Rico?

Guess I should post what was learned in the concept art leak thread

- Red-haired female protagonist
- 3rd person open world
- John Gonzales (Lead Writer for Fallout: New Vegas) is working on this.
- They hired CD Projekt Red quest designers and other experienced RPG developers.
- It has co-op (not sure if Shinobi ever made a follow-up post saying if it was local, online, or both.)

Hearing about new RPGs is always exciting to me. I haven't played much Killzone (had a blast with Shadowfall's MP), but the Killzone universe has always been thematically interesting. I think Guerilla could very well make a unique world.

Not really. Sony doesn't have a first party open-world RPG either and those are pretty big these days. Plus I think another studio will take over Killzone.

Hopefully nobody takes over Killzone and they just let it die.

Sure they'll make a unique and interesting world and mythos (read that amazing Killzone backstory and timeline they have on the website!), but then completely fail to incorporate any of that in the game. Instead it'll just have shitty dialogue and bad acting (I HATE literally all of the characters in the Killzone games). Seriously reading all of the stuff they had come up with for Killzone's world made it so disappointing that the game basically reflected none of that. If they could have realized that all in the game, it would have been on par with Mass Effect I feel.

Well that's two allready ;p.

Jeah sure.. But do you feel Insidegamer really has any importancy in our media world? I mean for me it really only is Gamekings, wish it was more though because I really don't like watching them, but that's another subject which is kinda Offtopic. They are not the only, but they are the only one that really hold any ground in our media world for me. :) Hope that explains it

On:

I do hope it well get shown, although I do like my Killzone games... Did enjoy Shadowfall PS4 so..

Indeed it is laughable so again don't believe them.
