It makes no sense. S-E doesn't have the manpower to be doing a PS4 remake of FF7, they're tits-deep in way too many other games right now.

The argument they don't have the money, time or manpower can be answered by Sony helping with development.

Ala Street Fighter 5, Bloodborne etc.

Seems to be the way Sony secures 3rd party exclusives nowadays, rather than just moneyhatting.

I haven't been keeping up but what does Shenmue have to do with Sony

Well after Yakuza 5 being localised via #BuildingTheList, Suzuki's ties with Mark Cerny and Gio Corsi very recently following Suzuki on Twitter, it does seem like the most likely scenario that Sony are the ones making it happen.

You're right though, I'm only making assumptions here and if Shenmue fails to make an appearance then that's not on Sony.

If Shenmue or FFVII don't happen it'll be "oh right we're stupid like that" while TLG would be something like "of course TLG is a no show again"

TLG is Sony's game so it's expected to be there, and the rumour here is that FFVII-Remake, if it exists (lol), is going to be on the PS4, so we can assume it's going to get stage time at both Sony and Square Enix's conferences. Shenmue I explained above.

Why? We been through this song and dance with TLG and FFVII, it's like crying wolf at this point. If it happens it happens, if not, its like every year since forever.

I can't think of the right word, but the rumours surrounding these games this year seem way more uhhh... insistent than before. Shenmue wasn't ever talked about to this extent at previous E3s, based on my experience, but now we have the man himself Suzuki attending E3. And taking pictures of forklifts! Same goes for TLG. I've never seen so many journos before say they're convinced it's going to be re-revealed this time.

TLG I can actually see making an appearance, though.

TLG is the only thing we can guarantee as being in active development.
Sure it likely won't show up at this E3 but it will eventually see the light of day.
