This is a great post.
I was like that for a while. Being able to accept and let go of those feelings is really freeing. Funny enough, Giantbomb helped take that away for good. Alot of Jeff's most famous rants have been against some of my favorite games ever. And they are all hilarious. Who gives a shit if he doesnt like what i like. His hatred of NiGHTS doesnt take away from my enjoyment!
Let's be honest here they'd probably have gotten more excited at an Animal Crossing with a new inventory system
Sony had three big shock announcements but for me there's no value in any of them yet. What does FF7 change and keep; TLG still does not look a very enticing game and I need to play the other Shenmue games.
They ticked the boxes but we need a bit more than that. Sets them up strongly for future E3s.

Giant Bomb has sort of morphed into the Earl Swearshirt of gaming sites. They ain't getting excited for shit and they probably won't like that game you like. Part of the charm tbh, but I get why some people may be tired of it.
Everyone will be having fun once they get some guests in tomorrow (I think it starts tomorrow?). That's always the best part of their E3 coverage anyway. Just weird stories about the conferences and shit with friends of the site.

When have they ever been hyped for another Final Fantasy. They were slightly impressed by XV just because it mixes it up finally. Shenmue is it's own thing entirely.
They pretty much all got excited about all the same games I did which were the ones that actually looked like it came from this gen.

I mean it's fair to level some critisicm, like Brad saying that the ff7 remake was a waste of time and money seemed more like him having his bias cloud what could be a very lucrative venture, and his reasoning seems so nonsensical that Dan had to speak up.
I mean, if you went with them both i would assume both. If you didnt want to go with the "meh" friend, why invite him?

This is kind of why I miss Patrick at GB. Last year, he was the only one on the panel getting excited for games. Not jumping on table excited, but optimistic and happy for new games ( captain toad? Phantom Dust? ).

Pretty much. I think people are clouded by FF7 and Shenmue (which aren't even exclusives and won't be out until 2018 at the earliest) to see Sony have nothing this year. Pretty bad.
And now for the reason I cane here, are giant bomb doing the day 0, day 1 etc podcasts/ live streams still? Can't see anything in their site.
Is Giantbomb the only one with their own Cammy and Birdie video content at the moment? I couldn't find any elsewhere.

EDIT - I'm kidding around there (well with you guys, I won't be listening to GB again), but in all seriousness, they should get a bit more diversity on the panel. Replace Patrick with someone with a similar attitude so it's not all negativity.

SRK has a hands on with both characters and with a 1 minute video at the end, but I think at the moment GB is really the only main news site with any in depth footage.

They're critics bruh. They've been doing this for a good while now. They've seen alot of things come and go. Seen things underperform and not deliver. They're not the type to get super juiced about an announcement of a game, they actually need to play it first. They (usually) have a measured reaction to shit. It's why I love em.
Gaf is the type to get hyped over a vague twitter post. That can be endearing. In the same way it's why I love gaf as well.

Jeez, Brad + Jeff were being total downers during the Sony conference. I don't even own an Playstation and I got annoyed at the constant complaints with PS and Sony. Shame on the people in this thread making fun of people who are excited (GT staff). I'm a pretty big Giant Bomb fan but that doesn't mean you have to shit on other people for being happy. It's a low blow and just makes this community look bad.
I hope GB's disinterest just eats them up inside and ruins their mood. Like what a terrible sentiment.
