Wow this is really depressing, I thought he was getting better.

For all the crap people online like to give him he was easily one of the best executives in the industry because he was passionate about it.

The industry just lost a lot of its glimmer today.

Have a good laugh out there, Mr. Iwata. You made countless people smile, you deserve it. Thank you for what you have done for this industry.

If only T_T

I'm awfully sorry but this cracked me up.

100% thought this was a shitty troll thread when I saw it.
Then figured by like page 10 there would be a post revealing it as a shitty hoax...

:'(

RIP Iwata, you will be missed

As a businessman, he led Nintendo from one of their worst periods into its most successful, then saw the company to its lowest point but managed to reinvent the company back to profitability.

As a developer & producer, he crafted some of our most beloved games.

Hell of a legacy.

Knowing full well it was July I actually checked my PC clock to make sure it wasn't April 1st. What a huge loss for the industry.

Oh my. My heart just sunk. What a phenomenal person who embodied Nintendo. Passionate, fun, intelligent, talented and committed to gaming and gamers from the most basic of levels. He is a legend and will be truely missed.

I think anyone paying attention to his canceled appearances and missed E3's could tell something wasn't right, but this is still a huge bummer.

RIP.

This is thoroughly depressing news. I mean, heart breaking.

Gaming without Iwata. God almighty wtf.

Prayers, thoughts to his loved ones. Rest in Peace man.

Shit. And I thought he was looking really well after that cancer op too. Looks like they didn't get it all. Awful news.

Thanks for all the fun Iwata-san. RIP, and condolences to his friends and family.

Hard to imagine losing a more important, influential member of the game community. No doubt his absence will be keenly felt. I wish his family and friends the best. He will be missed.
