Xbox One Download Games |OT| News, Announcements, Reviews, and Impressions Thread

Blues and Bullets looks damn good. I'm going to have to add it to the list of episodic games I will have to purchase after I finish Game of Thrones, Walking Dead 1 and 2 and Life is Strange. I also have to finish D4. GAH

I played like 3hours of submerged already and I'm actually enjoying . The visuals are amazing, great game for screenshots. It even has a photo mode built in game.

How are you playing? I got all excited, went to the store...pre-order.. :(

They sent me the code on thursday evening. The movement is a bit cranky, but its fine. Im like halfway trough the story, which is intriguing at least. Im enjoying sailing and just watching whales and dolphins jumping the most. Its a very visual game, I wonder how the game will score on general reviews.

I'll probably finish mine tomorrow, since the embargo goes up sunday 7pm PDT (Monday 12AM AEST)

Not sure if anyone care, but the Xbox One Plant Vs Zombie achievement is currently bugged. When you complete it, it will give you the achievement (Combo Enthusiast) from the Deadpool table, you don't need to have that table. I heard it is a pretty hard achievement.

Dammed! I went to a quick game of Sparkle Unleashed yesterday night afyer my game session before going to bed and the game lost my savegame somehow, a complete restart. I was almost finishing the Main mode (I was over 100 levels played, 6 hours into) and now everything is gone. Tried to delete the local savegame and resync, no luck.

No way I will be playing all of it again, since you have to complete 3 times for all achievements.

Went to preload Submerged from the console. But there was no discount applied to it. I thought there was a 20% discount for gold members, or was that for another game? I hope the discount isn't region specific. I didn't see the discount for Dishonored either. I'm in Canada.

Yeah, the Submerged discount missing is what's keeping me from preordering. The developer called it a "launch discount" so I wonder if it's just not available till launch, or hasn't been applied yet by accident.

Some games might have trouble with instant resume. Did you fully quit the game? I think So Many Me had the same issue.

I'm curious, is there any indoor areas to explore? Or is it all outside?

Honestely I do not remember how I quit the last section before the problem, but I always go Back to the world map before quiting, so there would not be such problem.

The game can be a pain sometimes and I was almost besting it. I fell no desire to start it again...

All outside. You kinda go inside some buildings, but they are broken open areasof them. The game its not very good. Its boring after some hours and the ''climbing puzzle'' mechanic its not really a puzzle. They are very easy and dull. Sometimes you got to go out of your way to discover a secret, but its nothing impressive. The story starts interesting but ends up being boring as well, and telling it via postcards is not efective

The sailling is fun and encoutering animals like whales and dolphins is very cool and visually impressive. Dynamic weather is nice as well and all of this makes the best feature of this game being the photo mode. And that is it

I spent most of my time sailling and checking out the visuals, when I went to play the main story the game was done after a couple of hours doing basically the same climbing thing.

Um, Smartglass is telling me "Frozen Free Fall" is now on the XB1?

Has it gone mad, or is this real?

It's real. It's on the store and listed for Aug 4, but it isn't available for download yet.

Maybe they plan on making the Windows 10 version Xbox enabled, and it isn't actually for XB1? Because Windows 10 Xbox titles still show up in the store, such as Minecraft Win 10 Beta and Microsoft Solitaire but are obviously non-purchaseable.

edit: Nevermind, just read the description which mentions playing in your living room

Beyond Eyes looked incredible when I saw it a couple of months ago (no pun intended). I'll wait for some reviews though.

Beyond Eyes came out of nowhere. I wonder if the PC version is releasing today also or is the game part of Xbox's Summer thingy they have every year?

Not today on pc. I presume it has more to do with the timing of the press conference than some minor exclusivity.

Not today but it will be out soon!

Speaking of Rare Replay, I have never been so conflicted about a purchase. I just worry that this will be an impulse buy and I will only wind up putting just a few hours in a handful of games. I went from hyped to holding off from clicking "purchase"

If you even play one of the later-day titles to completion, you're getting your money's worth. And everything from Grabbed by the Ghoulies on is modern and worthwhile, to say nothing of the classics that precede them.

If I join EA Access right now, would the only full free game I get immediate access to be Dragon Age Inquisition?

Before Dragon Age Inquisition was added, there was only one game in EA Access's Vault that interested me (Titanfall), and I bought Titanfall at launch on disc and then go a bundle later to own the game digitally... But Dragon Age Inquisition access changes things for me - I'm thinking very hard about joining the program. Not to mention EA has Unravel and Mirror's Edge coming up too...

No, you'll get access to all 13 games in the vault and the trials for a few others.

having just recently bought an XB1 and not having had an xbox machine since Halo Reach came out on the 360 I have a question

do the weekly sales on games always suck this bad? PSN seems to do at least a couple of decent sales a month and some flash sales on top of all of that but in the month or so I've had the XB1 nothing really has stood out.

Being an owner of both for a while, they both have highs and lows in terms of sales, one isn't better than the other in that regard.

They're really hit and miss. There will be weeks of nothing (in-game currency, $10 drops on Call of Duty games, etc.), but there are also some really good deals like Sunset Overdrive for $35 a few weeks back, Sniper Elite III for $10, Lego Marvel for $8, and specials on new and old indie games.

yeah, i just barely missed the big sale they had in july so I know that they have some decent sales it just seems to not be as often or as deep as on PSN. Granted, Sony is working with 3 platforms vs the 2 Xboxes and maybe now that BC is a thing we'll see more legacy titles get slashed but I don't sense that they have these decent sales as frequently as PSN does. Just an observation.

PSN seems to have a lot more sales of indie games that range in the $2-3 area. MS has had some recently as well, but Sony seems to be really good at getting some of the lesser selling indies to lower their prices.

Something I'm missing dearly from both systems are PERMANENT price cuts. For example, why some of the first indie games on the console are still full price is a bit confusing...they can't be getting that many sales due to almost no exposure.
