Finally!

It took me 3 tries to realize how to properly use the bonus star + p switch to make a run on the 3rd area of the stage. However the p switch doesnt last long enough so I just felt to the lower area every time. You may want to make the path to take the star shorter, so we have more time on the p switch for the third area.

The area vs bowser gets too crowded at times, if the players are not clearing the floor with fire flower constantly, they will get overwhelmed pretty easily, bowser can push them towards the goombas hitboxes making them lose the Fire Flower, Bowser can sometimes block the path to the next fire flower making it even harder. Consider making a small pit so the goombas can die, that's the hardest part of the fight imo. You may even be able to add more pipes that spawn goombas if you add the small pit, so it's a constant stream of goomba instead of sometimes nothing, sometimes a pool of death.

That part is pretty doable without the star and the p switch, though! Just a little bonus. Where would you add the pits? I wanted the Bowser fight to involve all the mechanics in the stage-- belts, goomba spawners, and p switches. The fire flower gets shot to the middle, especially when you take the coins so it spawns even without the switch.

People seem bad at platformers. 150 attempts at my level and 1 person has completed it. Maybe just bad level design on my part.

From the looks of it there not getting past the dropping stone heads right at the start. Stop running and take your time is key to that. It's not hard.

Oh shit I forgot you can view Miiverse on PC. BRB Posting levels for you to try GAF!

Playing expert 100 man Mario.

What the fuck are some of these people thinking with these levels?

I made a level. Might not live up to its name. Got so tired of doing a marathon on my own level the end got a bit simple.

Geez, someone died near the end of my level in a place I never expect them to die. And they didnt finish the level because of it.

Need to fix it

Wait you get stats on how people play levels?

Yeah but you cant use the bonus to go past that part completly. Just make it more consistent I guess as a reward for getting the the star. Hey, maybe spawn the P switch earlier in the game, and make them carry it to the reworked area of the star, so its more of a challenge too

One pit, one block wide, in the middle of the map. also the flower should land on a small platform/bridge near the middle if possible (as small as posible to not mess with the desing of the rest of the area). This bridge would not be safe for camping because of bowser but would give the players a second of two of relieve before bowser gets too close and they have to navigate around him and the goombas.

I love it when people leave comments on my levels. I'll definitely make an effort to comment on other peoples levels as much as possible.

I'd forgotten how warm the Miiverse community can be. It's like the nicest place on the internet.

Even easy 100-Mario has its issues. The final stage I encountered there, "good luck," was literally just a series of multiple choice pipes and doors. Randomly jump into the correct pipe, and move on to the next room where you do the same thing. Choose wrong, and you'd be dumped out into a lava pit or directly into an unavoidable enemy.

Gee, what great and fun design. Some folks are just assholes I guess.

here are two levels I made:

6247-0000-0022-703A (wall Jump Cave)
E24D-0000-0017-8076 (let the shell flow)

And one my girlfirend made:
26FA-0000-0021-B999 (Rainy day)

every level is a bit short (standard length). I realised just now, that longer levels aren't locked from the start xD

Somehow I don't get many objects unlocked, only got one wave until now. i thought the update fixed that issue?

Also I'm going to play some GAF levels now

How are you getting those screnshoots? I'd love to get some like these for my levels

Of the levels I've made, the one that's got the most stars and such was a simple one based on SMB1 world 2-4. Someone even commented that it was the best castle level they'd played, which is nice. So maybe "keep it simple, stupid" is something I should keep in mind from now on. If you wanna view that, it's 45A4-0000-001B-720C

The screenshots are dependent on where your Mario is when you save/upload the level. It's kind of sloppy but with some patience, you can get a pretty nice looking screenshot. Then you just need to log into Miiverse and copy the link.

Is there a hard limit to how many sound effects you can have? Just had an epiphany about my first level. Debating adding a bit of narration over it to tie it all together nicely.

Made a low to medium difficulty "airship" level. The fleet is stuck in a frozen ocean and trying to cut their way out.

Check your miiverse profile. When you upload a level, it automatically creates a post on miiverse with a screenshot attached to it.

Look at your Miiverse posts.

Thank you, I didnt realize those were auto published to miiverse. It makes sense, as other players need a place to comment on the levels.

Created my first Super Mario Bros course after playing around with the basic tools.
It was a lot of fun designing the level! Gonna try to unlock more tools.

The ID is: 30D3-0000-0023-007E, if you want to try it out.

I try to build levels that are challenging yet don't feel unfair. I feel a lot of the levels are either unfair or a bunch of stuff all mixed together that make little to no sense at all. I guess that's to be expected from new level designers though, but striking a balance is key. There are hard levels that don't feel punishing like the Ultimate Bowser Castle, but invisible blocks, perfect jumps and such are painful.

Sorry for the stupid question but where can I find the 100 levels that were supposed to be on disc?
The artbook contains keys too levels but they seem to short for online search.

I'm loving the game so far. I get that things unlock slowly so you can learn as you build, but after a day in I wish I had more tools at my disposable.

I like how it posts the Course ID on Miiverse. It would be nice if it was integrated so you could just click a course post in Miiverse and be taken to it in the game.

I'm loving the shit out of this game so far. Playing the 100 Mario Challenge is the most fun so far. It's also nice to see people play and like your stages, even if it's only a few!

this dude's totally gonna get banned, haha

I constantly see some bad stuff crop up from miiverse(like giant dicks on the miiverse stage of smash). As much as they crack down it's pretty likely people will eventually be exposed to that kind of stuff.

This is much too short -- I felt like just when I settled in it was over -- but I really liked it! Really good! Except for the spikes at the end, not a fan.

Do any of the pipes lead anywhere?

Thanks! I feel it's a bit short too, I might update it later. And no, the pipes don't lead anywhere as I had not unlocked that yet when I created it...

Wish there could be another way to share levels. An easier way like using QR codes with the Gamepad camera or something...

If you do, I'll definitely play it again.

And if you unlock warp pipes, make one of them warp to a sub room. Someone somewhere in the world will find it!
