Ugh, ok. If that's not setting everyone up for disappoint then I don't know what.

Or we should literally read it to mean, "guys don't expect something you want."
I don't know about you, but I'm certainly not expecting something I want so it could turn out either way.

Nintendogs but it's somewhat expected.
It's one of the game that started the casual audience to buy consoles/games, so it would make sense to release it on a big casual market.

Expect the unexpected?

I fear to state what I expect may be unexpected for by stating that I expect the unexpected it instantly becomes false since I now expect it.

I can totally seeing the first one out of the gate being an Animal Crossing city building F2P type thing. Popular franchise that can appeal to people who dont even know about it. Wide demographic. Pretty safe moneymaker (remember those Tapped Out numbers). And amiibos coming out right around the same time so you have brand recognition in shops.

Would also explain the weird lack of a 'proper' Animal Crossing on Wii U if they hoped this one would take precedence.

What about some form of F2P Nintendoland with stamina?

It would promote Nintendo IPs and could be updated with new games/modes.

Most likely not since that would require an nfc adapter thing on iOS. Apple doesn't let third parties scan directly with the phone from what I understand.

Ah I see. Well Nintendo does have the NFC device for the regular 3DS. It wouldn't be too far fetched to believe they'd sell one for Android/iOS devices especially if it's bundled with an exclusive amiibo.

That is genius.

I actually feel like a majority of people hate mobile and are expecting something bad.

So maybe this is a good thing. Maybe it means expect to be surprised in a good way?

But Nintendo thinks people likes mobile which is why they're bothering with it in first place.

Federation Force companion app? Metroid shelter - help Samus take care of the baby.

Probably Mario or Animal Crossing.

Of course it is unexpected... they already said it is not a "button" game and not an emulator, and that is what most people expect.

Expect more "mario 64 minigames" than super mario bros 3

Whatever it is I sure as hell hope it doesn't require a constant internet connection. That really needs to be shown somewhere on the App Store, I've never even played the Pokemon Shuffle game or Final Fantasy Record Keeper because I'm only interested in playing mobile games when I am away from home and won't use my mobile data to download content.

F-zero tilt opperation infinite runner. They already have one in Nintendo Land so having a Mobile version of that, fleshed out more with upgrades, and different areas, etc. would be pretty good.
