Even if Yoshida gonna Yoshida, I wouldn't assume that the likes of Jim Ryan or anyone that works at SCEA would be aware of the existence of stuff like OreShika, let alone a Freedom Wars-like second party collaboration thing so even if they do say they have 0 titles, it doesn't mean that Sony as a whole does, everyone's pretty much speaking for their own division so let's get hype for Freedom Wars

If you read the article, nowhere does Shu say that the title is implying. All he says is that the Vita is still getting games.

Clickbait.
"I've been pretty honest saying our focus has shifted to PS4 and PlayStation VR, it's not like we don't have any development at all. We do, but our focus is on PS4 and PlayStation VR, and we are happy to see third-parties and indies support it."

That's all I needed to hear. So there is some games in development but their main focus is VR and PS4.

That's ambiguous IMO, and likely the reason the article is named as such. "t's not like we don't have any development at all" does not mean "First-party games are in development," and is more likely to mean [we still have a small hand in bringing games to Vita].

I think this is one of those situations where a misunderstanding due to language barriers makes news, and I wouldn't read much into it other than clickbait.

My $0.02, you're obviously free to interpret as you like.

Yes but that means for both SCEA and SCEE that they're gonna have other mobile titles they're gonna port to the Vita and those Looney Tunes games SCEE publishes, as for SCEJA, who knows? TGS turned to shit as soon as Kawano left.

Guys where is the cheapest option to buy Lost Song for Vita? For EU the cheapest I can find is Base and Shoppetoo.

Like Gravity Rush 2, right?

I don't think I enjoyed GR as much as you so It's further down on my wishlist. I'd rather see sony paying for some CRPG ports (it's been a dream since I bought my vita and seeing how great experience RP wasteland 2 is, I want it more than ever):D

Yeah, I read it the same way. There's still "development" in that the Vita is still getting products via proxy of Sony, but Sony sure as hell isn't the one designing and creating them.

Does that game still exist? It seemed to completely fall off the map once they decided to port it to PS4 and PS3.

I think I saw a PEGI rating for it a couple of weeks ago.

Hopfully the decision to release it on other platforms have forced them to make it more complex(I want to be able to choose the amount of salt on strips/sugar in soda like in the old classic theme park).

Why are you reading my tag instead of the title of my post?
I need to buy Nier and its $20 at GameStop. Of course, I'd much rather pay that to an actual person. If anyone wants to sell me their copy for $15-$20 (including shipping) hit me up. I don't regret selling my first copy here though

What a lovely joke, thank you for the laugh :').

To be serious, this likely is referring to the 3rd Party Productions Team making more ports, smaller EU divisions making those kid-friendly Vita titles and WWS Developers like Santa Monica assisting some indie developers on a few Vita projects (like Sound Shapes, Unfinished Swan and others).

I don't see any titles coming from the Vita by Sony that are 'big' like Gravity Rush or Tearaway. If anything, they might be considering down-porting Gravity Rush 2 to Vita after backlash from the Vita community of a lack of the Vita version. That might be wishful thinking on my part but I can't see Sony making more Vita software.

Over and over, they clearly stated they are 'done' with Vita development. This sounds more like Sony downplaying all the toxic stuff they said about the Vita throughout the year then anything else.

I don't see any reason to not take his quote at face value:
"I've been pretty honest saying our focus has shifted to PS4 and PlayStation VR, it's not like we don't have any development at all. We do, but our focus is on PS4 and PlayStation VR, and we are happy to see third-parties and indies support it."

Previously he just said no AAA games.

So I got this email from Sony about Playstation Mobile:

Update on PlayStation®Mobile (PSM)

On March 11, 2015, SCE notified users that they must activate their PlayStation®Vita (PS Vita)/PlayStation®TV (PS TV) systems in order to continue playing their PlayStation®Mobile (PSM) content after the termination of the service. However, it has become apparent that even if users activate their devices by following the notified procedure, their devices may become deactivated in certain cases.

In response to the above, we have set a new device activation method and implementation period. We apologize for any inconveniences this may cause, but we ask users to perform device activation by following the instructions below.

Device activation procedure*1:

• Users must update their PS Vita/PS TV systems*2 to the latest system software (version 3.55 and beyond), be connected online, and launch their purchased PSM content between October 13, 2015 and February 29, 2016. Activation will be completed just by launching the content once*3.

*1 Even after users complete the above procedure, if they swap their PS Vita memory cards or backup/restore their PS Vita/PS TV data, they must connect to the network the first time they are accessing PSM content.
*2 Up to three compatible devices (PS Vita, PlayStation®Certified devices) can be activated.
*3 If users deactivate their devices after February 29, 2016, they will no longer be able to play their purchased PSM content on the deactivated devices.

Looks like I am going to have to open every single PS Mobile game I have before February. I didn't keep every piece of crap I bought. Only have about 25 I kept out of probably 50 or so. Things could be worse but still WTF.

Augh so many psn games to download and not enough space on the ps4. I'm thinking about replacing the hard drive. Is a 2.5inch x 9.5mm too thick for the ps4 or will that fit?

I REALLY HAVE TOO MANY GREAT GAMES TO PLAY!

A great problem to have, and soon we'll have even more great games with Fallout 4, Eiyuu Senki and Bloodborne The Old Hunters coming in very short time.
After those should be pretty smooth sailing until 2016, can't remember if there's any notable releases in December but I'm sure there'll be enough games to keep us busy.
And when 2016 hits.. http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1131527

I might pick up Fallout but I already have wasteland 2 to play and between the two I think wasteland is more my kind of game :)

Superbeat Xonic, The Old Hunters and maaaaybe Eiyuu Senki when impressions are very positive for me this month. Oh and I hope my Summon Night 5 code arrives this month~

December seems very empty but I think I'll import Gravity Rush HD. There could be Cold Steel but I'm not thinking about that until XSEED announces a firm date.

Really enjoyed Wasteland 2 too.
Not like Fallout 4 is going to go anywhere. Now that mods might be coming to consoles too probably a good choice to prioritize other games before that, but I'm going to play it for a while before The Old Hunters comes out, and hope that it has enough content for me to come back to it on later date.

I'm planning to import the Gravity Rush Figma Collectors Edition if I can somehow get my hands on the Asian version that has English subs. For December Cold Steel and Estival Versus unless they get pushed back, I remember them being 2015 Winter but who knows.

Estival Versus won't be out before February, XSEED and Marvelous EU dates are alyways synced up

And yeah the CE is nice but it's a bit expensive for me and it seems impossible to get one anyway

2+2=5

The Amiga Brotherhood
What's the story behind Wolf Among Us? Why fable characters were forced to leave their world?

Sorry but at this point Sony bosses are a tasteless joke when it comes to vita, honestly i think that less they talk about vita the better, they just create even more confusion and unrealistic expectations that only damage vita even more.
I bet that the games he's talking about are kids games like muppets, looney toons, phineas and ferbs etc or some very bad ports, IF it's true that there are games in development.

News to me, thanks. Lots of time to plan my pre-order then.

It's probably pretty hard to obtain one, from the looks of it they still aren't accepting pre-orders even for the Japanese Figma version so hopefully I'll make it in time for Asian ver which I'd assume will go live around the same time.

If Estival is due February, then we can expect Popolocrois by march and next 2 games by summer: Luminous Arc Infinity and Valkyrie Drive. I've got a feeling that Valkyrie will somehow be ported to PS4 for western release.

I expect Tokyo Xanadu not before september. That one will take great amount of their time. Cold Steel pt. 2, Net High and Uppers (also with a PS4 port) would make a great fall 2016.

What the crap is Dragon Fin Soup?

Got my email that my LE for Superbeat: Xonic shipped. Definitely glad it's coming, but it'll sit in plastic for a while.

I just took this screenshot that I posted on my Twitter. And people these days wonder why I play less and less...

This is basically a whole day of work at my part time job. Part time being the keyword, I just cannot afford to spend such a huge chunk of my money on one single game. $90 for a videogame is fucking mental, it being Fallout or not won't change my mind lol. Canada's game pricing is insane these days. Handheld games too are overpriced to the point that they almost cost as much as a console game did before our dollar got all messed up...

Just don't buy them on day 1, it's not worth it. Especially these doritos blockbusters that drop their price in like a week. Play something else.

And that's why you buy Vita games, they're inherently cheaper.

I usually buy my games through deals only so this reality that prices have gone up has only hit me now.

Shiz, our Vita games cost as much as a PS4 game used to back in the day. Cheaper, yeah. But still pretty bad!

Buy them on PSN. The only company to up the price of their digital Vita games in Canada has been Scamco, and even then, they've only done that post-launch month.

I spot a 'Free shipping' option there, which is one I use myself for all my purchases.

I totally would if it wasn't for the huge file sizes for console games. Most of my handheld titles are digital just so I can save a few bucks, and the sizes aren't so bad. Now when games are 40+GB with a couple more in patches, my bandwidth limit just won't allow me to buy the games digitally. I mean I could do it still, but then I'd have to pay for the extra usage fees, and in the end I'd end up paying more than I would if I had bought the game physically ahaha.

Release date shipping is blessed. But not when games are this expensive in general.
