Having a rough time making money now that I have my skell.

My party is all 32ish and I am at ch8. Exploring costs tons of money because it is $80k each time my skell is destroyed. Leaving the game on overnight didn't help much.

Any tips for making money to keep operating?

Honestly, I'd buy a new skell to refresh the insurance and save often that way you can reload if you fail the qte. You can also get a salvage ticket everyday if you are a prospector which will give you a free skell recovery.

I disagree. my main character says "I'm REALLY feeling it!" sometimes when I use a ranged art when it's flashing. I smile every time.

If only he'd also go "It's rain time!" when the rain starts. That would have been an awesome easter egg.

I chose Shulk's VA too, but its not quite the same because those are phrases from the original, at least H.B's are original for this game.

Also not all AM's have armors right? I can't see any armor from Factory 1.21 or Nopon Commerce Guild on the store.

oh wow... didn't know i could level up the arts to reduce cooldown. that is deffo something i want to do. Where do i do that? skills menu?
Main Menu -> Arts.

To level them up you need BP that you gain in combat and also by exploring, filling the Collectopedia, doing quests, etc...

Also in this game there are Skills and Arts with Arts being the attacks that you use in combat while Skills are like passive bonus (like more HP, Defense, better chance to land criticals) granted by progressin each class.

Yeah uh

I just finished chapter 5 and i expected it to be at the terminal but nope

I checked the board like 10 times in each chapters, maybe I missed it a few time but when I checked this thread and everyone started talking about it I made sure I wouldn't miss it again.

God damn I want to get this game but I'm at the "how do I hold all these games" point this season.

Looks so fun I might just cave.

My next purchase was going to be Mario Maker but this game might sway me.

Does it matter that I never played Xenoblade on Wii?

Character recruitment question:

Is there some requirement for unlocking the basic quest to do Hope's recruitment Affinity quest? I'm right before chapter 11 and have been checking the terminal constantly but I've yet to see the Marriage quest or whatever pop up. I'm not worried about recruiting everyone (as I'm likely gonna miss out on someone) but I would like to get Hope since she sounds fun.

Finish the "Nine lives" Gwin affinity quest and you'll unlock a cat pet, alongside basic missions to rescue other pets around the world.

I was about to do this quest last night when I realized I have no idea where Gwin ended up. Can you point me at least to the right zone?

How do you increase division rank? I'm 120 hours in and my Outfitters rank is 3 when I check the network console.

Just gotta keep refreshing that board. I sat in front of it checking and backing out for a good 5 minutes before it finally popped up.

Gwin stays in the same direction as Lao, in one of those blade division booths, although closer to your Blade home. Just select the hexagons to the north of the blade barracks and you should get text pointing out that he generally stands there.

Omg chapter 4

Got to the cut scene where it says mountain is high, looks like we'll have to find another way around.

I CANNOT FOR THE LOVE OF GOD FIND ANOTHER WAY. Everything is too high level. I'm assuming I have to go up other mountain areas or those tree paths? Or is there some underground area I'm missing :(

so i got a Basic Mission calling you a
mimeosome
but i just beat chapter 4. Game needs it's own spoiler tags:p

The game never really tries to hide it, it just never outright says it until the reveal, which I thought was pretty interesting anyways.

Use the follow ball? Should show you where to go.

Well, I just started this game last night. Just got
Tatsu
. So far, I'm liking it. Battle system seems cool, but complicated. Lord, there's a lot of stats and leveling. Giant systems, jesus. I'll get it eventually.

Story seems meh so far. World is super cool, though.

Shouldn't you have the follow ball by now? It's good at handling elevation problems.

There's a cave to the south near a camp, which provides a route that is more or less safe (lvl 12 monsters). Alternatively, you can just jump down the cliff where those high level flowers are. Just don't get too close to that thing in the middle of the lake.

Can someone answer (in a spoiler tag) if there is a Nopon village in this game? If so, don't wanna know when we find it, just that there is one!

I'm only as far as Chapter 7, but I've come across two Nopon caravans. Apparently, they're a nomadic species on Mira, so no huge village. But then again, maybe there is later in the game.

So I picked up this new Skell weapon so I tested it out quickly, 40,000 damage!! Have a look, it's the fabled G-Buster I've heard about, great weapon.

Hahaha holy crap I totally forgot about that damn ball!

I'll look into the cave route. Yeah......I did the whole jumping into the lake, thought to myself ooooooh A LANDMARK, swam up to it and NOPE.

Thanks guys.

Did I mention one is an aoe attack, so I can do 100k or even 200k to a whole swarm of enemies at once :p

What weapon is that?

On the squad missions, how difficult are the bosses you fight? I've been tempted to join a few times when the box pops up, but I'm a bit worried that my build is pretty poor.

Do you have a skell? And if so what level? It's very possible to survive the global nemesis with a team of level 30 skells

Ooohh this is life saving haha. Thanks mate!

One last thing: it says that for the second h2h i have to bring a cat and i already did the
Gwin affinity quest,
but where do i find one now?

It should be on your base by default. In the customization menu, there'll be a pet option now.

Yeah, I have a level 30 heavy skell. Was just a little worried about weapons because I have no idea how good/bad my weapon setup is. I had to drop the chapter 10 boss down to easy to beat it even with a full team of level 30 skells.

That's going to depend on the fight. Against other skells and mechs you want beam damage. It can really trivialize a rough fight.
