The Division - 15 minutes of new gameplay

So, you're going to ignore that fact that this video has been posted and that we're seeing footage from the Xbox One version to continue to parrot the tired DOWNGRADE line?

Ok.

It's really getting tiring.

I have faith that the PC version will be pretty incredible graphically. Will it be the original reveal? I doubt it but at this point unless you have a weird vendetta against Ubisoft, who really cares.

I'm more interested in the longevity of the content and the game itself. But to each their own I guess.

Took long enough but this game is finally starting to build some hype. I may actually check out the beta.

I also read that the game scales with the number of players (!!) so going solo is legitimately viable.

Wait, people expect an aaa console game to look like a high end PC showing a demo in a limited area?

The reveal was running on $5,000 of PC hardware. Its safe to say it won't look the same on a $400 console. It won't look like the reveal on most peoples PCs ffs.

Ubisoft never confirmed what PC specs powered the E3 2013 demo. I strongly doubt it was 5.000$ of PC hardware really, you don't need anywhere near that to leave consoles in their wake.

Imagine if this game took place in the Mass Effect universe on the citadel. Or was just a sci-fi setting in general with a similar set up.

Fuck man why did Ubi have to make ANOTHER modern shooter?

Witcher also wasn't Ubisoft.
Neogaf peeps love to shit on Ubisoft games without giving them a chance these days.

I've noticed this too unfortunately.

I think the videos look good, and the game looks fun. Hopefully this is reflected in the beta when I play it.

The game seems right up my alley, but for some reason i'm just not feeling it anymore since the reveal, i like the animations though.

This is the truth and why I was mentioning the animation systems. The game looks like it plays like janky crap now.

Because what i see from the vids alot of people are playing it wrong. They are in cover then manual go out of cover, walk and hit another cover. Wich looks indeed janky. But if you are in cover with A you can select any other cover and your character moves automatically there. Its way smoother and your character does way more animations like sliding etc.

in my veins, I don't care what anyone says I'm so hyped about The Division that I am completely blind to any downgrade or negative feedback from anyone.

I will play it and I will enjoy it, period.

I went to Ubisoft's event in Sweden on Wednesday to play this, was really disappointed with the game, the visuals are also quite bad on xbox one, typical Ubi downgrade.

I remember being blown away with the reveal of this game, now I couldn't even watch much of the video without feeling overly sleepy (because I'm slightly sleepy already but the silence and not much happening in parts at the start of the video promoted drowsiness).

I'm going to look at the reveal again. I think another reason I'm not wowed with the graphics in the 15 min video is because it was too long ago and I'm used to games looking amazing.

I forgot about the community aspect, so I hope it does well there. The UI looks like it can get in the way, too much information.

That's one of the ugliest UIs I've seen in a long time. Wow.

I hope this is better than what I played of it during PAX last year. It was on Xbox One and it was very rough: looked sub-720p, extremely low framerate, laggy controls, etc. Super disappointing.

UI seems intrusive and not a fan of the bland visuals.

Unfortunately this video did nothing for me; hopefully the game ends up surprising.

Edit: Just watched the other vids, not looking too hot.

I know it's been said a few times, but the UI shown in that video is absolutely absurd and borderline comical.

This is the first time I've checked this game out and it looks extremely generic, was this supposed to be something cooler to begin with?

So how did it play before?

Right...

So are we still basing graphics from youtube videos? So having played the alpha on the weaker console, I can tell you it looks better than that. But you guys already knew that and are probably trolling. Also bullet sponges don't exist if you engage with enemies around your level. That should be a given too.

The gameplay and scenario are just so generic looking. This game could be called The Checklist.

Still, the way NYC is portrayed in such detail is pretty alluring.

If you watch Jack Frags' video, he says the gameplay is actually very refined and polished.

Hasn't Jack taken money from pubs to say nice things? I can't trust his opinion. Maybe I'm wrong but I remember when it came out when that controversy happened.

Stop highlighting everything and that stupid watchdogs interface. Super unrealistic to see the hit points. I don't care to see that, because the enemy's are like bullet sponges.

yes i'm going to play the beta, but i'm not charmed with the overkill information. Give me a clean hud like TLoU.

I wouldn't hold my breath, MS being the official marketing partner I expect parity out the wazoo.

This game and TLOU are two completely different style of games. This is more garnered for the RPG folks with deeper character and gear customization. Numbers are an important aspect of this game.

It's an RPG first not a third person shooter like TLoU.

TLoU wasn't a god damn RPG.

I don't think that counts for much anymore considering there are double the amount of potential customers on the other platform.

I've always felt that going for the "realistic" setting would be the weakest link in this chain.

For all of Destiny's flaws, at least it has a sci-fi fantasy setting that would give you all kinds of weird enemies. The Division is just going to throw normal humans at you.

I wonder what resolution that is running at, it looks kinda soft/fuzzy during gameplay. Ill be trying the Beta on both X1/PS4. Its gonna be hard getting used to the bullet sponge enemies, because Ive never played a military type RPG with longer kill times.

I still don't get this UI, why the fuck would they have the ammo counter directly in the center of the screen, why is the exp bar on the screen at all and why is it so big, ughhhhhhhh

This shit again..
Siege has also a marketing deal with MS. Still the PS4 version has a higher resolution.
Syndicate has a marketing deal with Sony. But both console were running at 900p just like Unity a year before. Wich had marketing with MS..

I'm not getting paid by Ubi and I've enjoyed the game a lot and agree with a lot of his sentiments. Does this count for anything?
