I swear to god, if this game is anything like Sticker Star I'm gonna... not buy it?

if it's anything like the first 3 (yea, even Super Paper Mario) I'm very excited.

But what about Retro Studios??? I thought they had a Wii U game in development too. Why hasn't their game been revealed or announced? Just what the heck is going on with them?

Intelligent Systems working on Paper Mario is cool... but they also could've created a Fire Emblem HD collection or something for Wii U.

Really I'm more worried about whether it will have original characters or locations more than the gameplay style they go with (SS gameplay would suck ass though...)

Huh...well let me just go back a couple pages so I can stuff some crow down my throat.

But hey! That's great news, and I'm hoping they take the intense criticism of the last one and use it to really do something great with it. I've never actually played any of them except for Super Paper Mario on Wii which I thought was decent, but I never finished it.

Well, Retro is hiring Character Artists right now, so they are clearly working on something.

We already had a Paper Mario for 3DS, plus two Mario and Luigi RPGs (one that is paper Mario-themed). Unless this is a sequel to TTYD, I'm not exactly excited for another Mario RPG this generation..

Bro, NX launch title later this year. It got pushed off Wii U because Wii U is dead.

A console Paper Mario, hopefully, will be of a much bigger scale of what Sticker Star was and I hope it manages to recapture the Paper Mario 2 spirit.

If true, and if good, Wii U will inevitably go down as one of my favorite Nintendo consoles ever.

That said, IntSys has made me way too skeptical many times in the past.

I've only played Super Paper Mario so I'd be happy with more of that.


Was hoping for Animal Crossing U but I suppose it'd make more sense to put that on NX given the sales potential.

Paper Mario would be pretty dope, definitely. Wonder if they would go for a textured look a la Rainbow Curse clay or Woolly World yarn or just stick with HD sprites.

Honestly I am excited for a more traditional experience too.

It seems pretty clear to me at this point that their new game will be an NX title, possibly a launch title. November 2013 was when their last title wrapped development, and they usually have a turnaround of 3 years or so.

Skipped Sticker Star since I don't have a 3DS, so I have to say I'm PUMPED for this. It could be TTYD style or Super Paper Mario style and I'll be happy.

I'm talking more about the style, the next Paper Mario was going to be experimental regardless based on track record, but if it gravitated to any of the older ones, Sticker Star is the one I'd want them to stay the furthest away from

Keeping the hype at bay for now. IntSys has been a little hit or miss lately. But dear god do I hope this is a good paper mario game.

Not that they're bad, but Paper Mario is usually all original characters (back when it was good. I mean, even Kammy is a PM character. Now tha's something.).

As an aside, I'd be fine with a Super Paper Mario esque game. It's probably an unpopular opinion, but I loved SPM. It was a lot of fun for what it was.

I still haven't tried out Sticker Star. Sitting on my shelf, unopened.
