Thanks for the video. I've got nothing recorded from my sessions but I think people are sleeping on this game a lot. Just hope the end game stuff stays as strong.

I think people who are interested in the game are really going to want to check out the beta. For my experiences in the alpha, its even worse than vanilla Destiny in the content department, and the content that does exist is going to be a giant clusterfuck in the dark zone - too few enemies/long respawn timers, too many people, and open PVP warfare meaning a lot of frustrated people looking for NPCs, getting ganked, and loot drops stolen. The story missions are hard to judge since only one was in the alpha and afaik only one is in the beta as well. The base building and skills stuff was fun, but again the alpha/beta are exposing almost none of it so its hard to judge - especially if perks and talents are locked away again.

Some of course are going to love the PVP dark zone setting, so for them its going to be an awesome game. For almost everyone else, I'm guessing (but its a total guess) that you'll be "done" with the game in under 15 hours, and the beta is really exposing only the first 2-3 hours of the game. Travel becomes a bit wearisome as well, with no fast travel in the dark zone and no mounts or anything like that (who doesn't love their sparrow in destiny!)

No kind of clan support, party size limit of 4, no way to PVP other than open world dark zone, best loot in the dark zone, etc all combine to make the kind of game I am pretty wary of. The setting is really great though, explorer type of gamers will love the game its huge and many parts of it are pretty empty (most of the game area is locked, can't enter in alpha/beta).

How I have understood it is that DZ loot is instanced in moment it drops.

For e.g. you open up Loot Chest of Awesome and it gives you epic quality Stick of Death and you are only one who can pick it up from chest, it appears as yellow container on your back because you need extract it now. If you are then killed you will drop said Stick of Death and anyone can pick it up from the ground.

Pretty much. No point to trust anyone in DZ if they aren't your actual friends.

Hell, I wouldn't trust random gaffer in DZ not to kill me for my loot :D

Didn't think you could see what the DZ item was until after it was extracted? Interesting..... So can I be inspected to see what I am carrying?

No.

the DZ items will tell you like "green assault rifle" but not what kind of rifle it is as far as I know. The actual itemization happens after extraction.

and you can not be inspected. people can see that you carry something,but not what.

I trusted a friend in DayZ...

I got a unprovoked bullet to the back of my head while protecting him.
Never again.

So I've been having a lot of problems getting my promotional Beta code from Amazon. Contacted Amazon three times now, a regular normal one, the second one having been left to hang by supposedly what was a supervisor (that they themselves decided to transfer me to), and that's what the last one ended up looking like:

Initial Question: Hi, on friday I have contacted amazon's customer support because the promotional code (beta code) for my pre-order on the division (order #***-*******-*******) ended up not working. (the code in question: E27R P5HP F299)
They told me that the issue was escalated to the Manufacturer department and that I'll be getting a updated code in the next 24-48 jours. Today is Tuesday and I stil have not received it. I would very much apprreciate gettingt a beta code before it starts this week. thank you.

I'm staying away from videos and previews up until the BETA on Friday night. I'm pretty excited about finally having a chance to play it. I got my code early this morning, so it's downloading while I'm at work.

As for the other thread - not interested.

People should stop referencing data that makes me feel uncomfortable because games get ported to platforms I don't like
If people REALLY wanted to get onto the Beta they would have actually got in by either Amazon,code give away in this thread,the Facebook give aways or even that EU website that was literally just generating Beta keys at the click of a button.If your a last minute player that can't get in because they couldn't be asked to look into earlier than don't complain about it.

Just incase some one didn't realize Amazon doesn't actually give you a psn or live code.

The code they give you has to be entered at thedivisiongame.com/beta

Then ubisoft will email you the proper code for the platform you selected.

Just wanted to post this as a heads up.

well.....I would hate to have you on my end as a CS rep, because the 13 digit code they give you is for the website. You enter it there and then they send you the 12 digit one for PSN in your email.

That email will be by Ubisoft to your Ubisoft accounts email.......not amazon.


You contacted them for no reason lol
