The Vita is 4 years old in NA

I still haven't gotten my fucking $25 settlement from Sony for the Vita yet.

Love the system though. It's been more than a year since I bought a bona-fide Vita game, but it can't be beat for PSone classics.

Man, what an amazing system with such shit direction and handling. It's like if you expected to play hockey with Gretzky, and all he ended up doing is playing tidily winks.

jeezus I can't

More than some people were willing to bet back in 2013.
Happy birthday Vita, you've been serving me well. I hope you can still give me a couple more years of new portable games.

The only device that I actually got day 1. No regrets. It is my most played device ever. More than any console (PS1, PS2, etc) and handhelds.

More like 4 years dead. Its a shame cause it is a nice system. Sony could have done better on a few things though.

To bad it dosnt have cross buy with PC cause that's where I buy all my indies :p.

I absolutely love the Vita. I bought the AC White OLED back in Nov 2012, and last month I bought the blue Slim from Gamestop. I also have the Vita TV. I buy games for it every month!

Depending on how the NX handheld goes, Vita could see a number of cross-ports for another couple of years. Vita is "powerful enough" for a handheld even if the NX handheld crushes it in power (which is likely - Nintendo would almost have to try for it not to).

And as long as the Vita is cheap to make and retains PSN support, no reason for Sony not to keep it going.

Happy fourth, Vita! I remember how excited I was to pick up the First Edition or whatever it was called (the version that released a week early). It was the first console I ever pre-ordered. It came with Little Deviants packed in, and I picked up WipEout 2048 as well.

Overall it's one of my favourite consoles. I wish it would have found success, and I wish that handhelds wouldn't have declined this past generation, but even then it's still a system with a great library. I have around 57 physical games for the system.

Finally joined Vita-GAF in the fourth year of mourning of Vita's death! Can't wait to build my Vita collection from four games to six in this year!

Happy birthday Vita! I will always cherish your beautiful OLED screen and the joy of playing Persona 4 for the first time.

Also, like your older brother (PSP), you are a rhythm game paradise!

Still remember the uproar when Sony announced the price for the Vita. Everyone said that with this tech and this price the Vita will take the world in a storm and the 3DS is dead.

A few years later everything turned out differently than expected. I wonder if we see ever another handheld from Sony.

Trust no one. Eat steaks.
I still play my 1000 with the OLED, glorious. Clocked up around 150hrs on MGSV via remote play. I also still have all the games I bought on card for it in year 1, most on launch day. Ridge Racer, Shinobido 2, Uncharted, Fifa, Everybodys Golf Virtua Tennis 4 and Killzone.

Tied with the original DS for favorite handheld. Still playing games on my Vita so who knows where it will end up ranked for me.

I picked up a Vita late last year and already have nearly twenty games. I really like the handheld itself and the library is better than most give it credit for.

Cheers to four years, Vita.

That is kinda funny! I had no idea the Vita's birthday was this week. I just bought my second one today, the Aqua Blue Vita at Gamestop.

I have the original I bought at launch, and the new one I bought today. Both are awesome and I am glad to have both!

Love my Vita. It's a shame that Physical games are getting tough to find at retail and will be tougher to track down in the future but I can see the Vita getting some level of support for some time.

Hope we get another birthday sale, got some good stuff last year.

I've long since made my peace with the Vita's failures, and continue to personally enjoy it as my favourite gaming system ever.

Got me back into handheld gaming after nearly 15 years. I love that I'm able to play so many classic tiles and indies on it. I have more than 50 games (digital and physical) for it and I wish Sony didn't drop the ball so early. It certainly deserved better.

Poor Vita, best portable console hardware ever and the game catalog is mediocre :(

Couldn't disagree more. 95 games in the green on this list, I own and would highly recommend most of them. And that's not to mention PS1 classics and PSP games.

Like others have said here, it's been my most played system ever since it came out. Fantastic device.

Vita will forever hold a special place in my heart. Will never forget walking around my friend's neighborhood trying to get wifi to download a firmware update after my day one Vita was bricking. :)

I was super depressed when I got my Vita and a couple of the games I played on it really brought me out of it. I'll always remember my time playing P4G and Dynasty Warriors Next and finally getting a plat on Rayman Origins.

One of these days I'll buy one.

I still have my 32gb card from when I got one at launch (sold long ago) and a HUGE collection of PS plus games I've been racking up for the past few years.

Convince me Gaf!

everything is dungeon crawling for me this year on vita. gotta replay celceta too. maybe a few indies. still love dat oled, but gotta use pstv too.

Besides Taiko no Tatsujin and Persona Dancing, what other good rhythm games are there on it?

I'm looking for recommendations, not seeking to argue with you.

One of my favorite systems ever. Its like a smartphone, but with good games.

The nail. It has been hit on the head.

The Vita wasn't the second coming of the PSP, it wasn't as revelatory as that was. But on the other hand, the screen isn't blurry and the controls don't suck. So Vita wins. P4G and VLR forever.
