nice, it seems he is taking a break. do you happen to know when he took a break? did he notify the old customer how long he would take?

so he sells all the 151 pokemons?
Very cool.

He only sold 15 before but is planning to add 9 new ones eventually. I contacted him on etsy and he messaged me when the shop was selling again. Nice guy really.

This is my new office in a townhouse that I recently moved into.
Mind you, the room itself is still desperately in-need of decorations to some degree.

I'm still trying to decide what I'd like to do with the available space on the walls.
I have a few ideas, but I'm always willing to hear suggestions.

These images aren't the best quality, but surely they'll suffice.
I'm also linking a tweet that I had originally posted a video of my newly installed LED system throughout the setup: http://bit.ly/1QUuMrh

Let me know what you think! Thanks.

Looks great! Only thing I would maybe point out is your headset hanging where it does. I'd be terrified of hitting it when sitting or rolling around on the chair. Otherwise, fantastic job.

Oh, and how are the consoles handling the heat? It looks like a fairly tight fit!

^ pretty awesome

Thank you! I'm just working with what I have for now! There's still more work to be done though!

Love the red and black. My two favorite colors.

Strangely, it wasn't my first choice - but then it started to come together, and I couldn't shy away from the theme. Plus, there's an over-abundance of red/black "gaming products" out there.

Valid point about the headset hanger, but thankfully it's double-sided, and the desk is 82-inches long. So, it may not translate in the pictures... But surprisingly there is a lot of room between where they are and how centralized you'd be at the desk. Then again, I'm only 5' 8". Haha.

As for the consoles, I play Bloodborne frequently and Halo 5 is about the only thing I enjoy on the Xbox One, but both have held up nicely without any overheating issues. Nor any extreme heat, or fans spooling up. Plus, the power supply is well ventilated for the Xbox, so that helps.

Nice colour co-ordination ;)

Black and red, right? That's how you know I'm "good" at games. Haha.

Why do you need two webcams? Is the second one just for symmetry?

Actually, the webcams are positioned how they are for occasions when my girlfriend & I stream, and we want to use multiple angles for our dogs, or a camera solely on her, etc. She insisted, so I obliged. The symmetry was just an product of the circumstances.

I'm getting ready to upgrade my projector - any good threads on GAF? I've not had much luck with search. Budget's $500-900 range.

DAMN, no built in chargers for PS4. They do look savage tho. $10 is a steal.

I too was disappointed by the lack of a charging dock for that same style of product. Either way, as you said - for the price and simplicity, they can't be beat. I just grew tired of my controllers sitting on my desks.

Could you link me to where ever you got that little red monitor stand?

Doesn't your Xbox struggle to keep cool? Looks like the top of it is totally blocked.

I mentioned this earlier, but the ventilation may not be "sufficient" according to Microsoft, however I've had no issues whatsoever with abnormal heat or fans spooling up to loud volumes. There is a few centimeters of clearing on the top, but the rear exhaust and power supply exhausts are properly ventilated.

Could you link me to where ever you got that little red monitor stand?

Of course. It's the IKEA Ekby Alex, without the drawers installed, and a custom paint color called, "Rogue Red." http://bit.ly/21K3hlZ

I've finally found the time and money to decorate my man cave and have shelving and furniture installed! The photos aren't amazing because I only have a potato as a camera. I have a small two bedroom flat and live alone so by default the spare room is my games room. It's more of a library really because I play my games in the living room without having to turn my living room into some kind of 'gamer zone'.

Hope you enjoy them.

I can barely get in the room!

I love that TV stand you've got there. Where did you find it?

I like this a lot, man.

Is that a Marauder keyboard? edit: Marauder was tenkeyless wasn't it

Is that a Steelcase foot rest? Protip: get a second one so you can spread out your man legs more.

I see the Firefly but what's next to it? Is that a QCK XXL with a piece of cloth you cut to size underneath it? Clever, if so.

Which of the two chairs do you find more comfortable? Is that a MARKUS and a DX Racer?

I appreciate the compliment, man.
As for my peripherals; the keyboard is the BlackWidow Chroma with a custom gunmetal skin, Mamba TE Chroma, and as you mentioned, the Firefly.

And the mouse mat, is from an online company called Stratagem. It's the Control Zone XL, straight-razor cut to a more suitable size.

Finally, when it comes to the chairs... I prefer the MARKUS, no question. Not to mention it rises higher than my DX Racer, making my footrest far more comfortable to use. It's an exponentially cheaper alternative as well. I bought the DX Racer for a different setup I had before making changes, so now it will sit along the other side, at the desk to the right that is also 82" long (which is an IKEA LINNMON).

Nice setup, I am also looking to get either the Ikea Markus or a DX Racer chair. What are your thoughts on each, and which Racer chair is that? I want one in all black if I went that route too!

Thanks, man.
I just responded with a brief statement addressing my thoughts on it.
In short, the MARKUS is my preference because of leg support, height of the riser, and more comfortable arm rests. Also, it's much cheaper!

The DX Racer that I have is: http://bit.ly/21NFEcl

I've always found that the DX Racer is less comfortable when it comes to promoting proper posture. I tend to sit up straight, with my arms resting at 90-degree angles in the MARKUS. But while sitting in the DX Racer, I tend to slouch more, or lean forward even after adjusting the chair's height or reclining angle. Just my two cents.

Any chance you could possibly post the stairs? always wanted to do a similar task, some more photos of the process/outcome could be beneficial.

Wow the cable management skills on show in this thread make me envious, I always set out to make mine tidy then within a month or so adding all the gear it just gets away from me all the time and I end up with a generation of wire nests behind my setup until the next big purchase then the promise will start and fail again.

*amazing stuff*

Damn dude, very very cool setup, so many games! I love the little picture in your bathroom btw, I might steal that idea if you don't mind.

My dream location for a gaming room would be a basement with a hatch you'd have to open and follow some stairs down into the main area, no windows and such. I don't have that luxery unfortunately (not complaining at all btw I'm obviously very happy with my own setup). We don't, in general, even have basements where I live. Inspiring stuff my man.

I never mind if someone takes ideas of my setup really, while a lot of the ideas were my own, I definitely did see some inspiration in areas before really jumping into the setup process. I myself lived in a small living space for about 5 years while saving the money to buy my home, these things can take time but the payoff is worth it if you are patient. If you ever get to your goal, just make sure you spend a lot of time measuring, planning and day dreaming about what you want, where, etc, before taking any steps else you can waste a lot of time/money or be disappointed with a result. It might not seem like it but, everything from positioning the tvs, shelving, couches, etc required a ton of measuring and planning. Hell I remember spending 8 hours in photoshop trying to create an image of what my wall would look like with those posters on it, and trying to determine their sizes and placement, lol.

Really, what do you people do for a living that this is how you live???

It's really incredible, I'm more than happy with what I have but I see things like this and the pictures in the OP and I just wonder how you guys and gals can afford to live in such nice places and have these really awesome setups!!!

Oh I know, I recently moved and made a new gaming room (pics are in this thread somewhere). I just had to do it within the space I had, but believe me I did it the way I wanted to.

Wow! I love what you did with your workspace. That is beautiful!

Thanks, a lot!
It's coming along nicely, but I've only been in my new place for a little over a month.

There is still work to be done, and decorating the room is really going to be my primary focus over the course of the next couple of months.

Not to mention, that second desk I'm going to add an Ultrawide for my girlfriend who typically uses her MacBook Pro as a workstation, so she can have a proper workspace.

I was looking at some of the other setups from previous pages, and felt compelled to share this "progression" picture of how my setup has evolved over the last couple of years.

It used to be a "mess" and pretty overwhelming with a general lack of cable management or effort.
But then things slowly started to change.

I haven't posted my setup, but I use panduit which I got from work as we had excess after a recent head end upgrade. Makes for a nice clean finish.

Making neat and tidy cable runs is my job as well so I've got all the tools to do it.
