That man has clearly never owned a bird if he thinks that that's what they look like sleeping, and that they sleep that heavily

Haven't seen anything around - dunno if it's because Namco fluffed the release or because it's a pretty niche game.

$89 at JB the cheapest I've seen - absolutelydisgusting.jpg

That price is blehhh.

I was tossing up between PS4 or PC, but this just made the decision for me. Just nabbed it from Games Planet for $62 and I can pre-load it tonight.

Strange that Big W isn't doing anything.

The loss of Dick Smith won't help the Jb and EB pricing unfortunately. New game releases at $69 really are the sweet spot, I can't help but feel that EB takes the piss with their $90 pricing

That magpie was dying. :(

Birds sometimes react strangely to trauma. A couple of months ago a bird flew into our back window and fell down below it. It looked completely stunned, out of it. It wouldn't react to us standing next to it, we left it some water, didn't touch it, and we could even touch it and it wouldn't react. But as soon as the sun went down, it flew off like nothing had happened. Maybe if I don't move, they won't see me?

Birds can be odd like that. I have two budgies and a cockatiel and they can be odd like that sometimes.

AC Unity (Xbox One) for $5.88. I won't say no at price despite what people on GAF think.

It's not a terrible game and its probably performing ok after patches.
I played it at launch on PS4 and apart from the fact it dipped under 30 in crowds (and there are lots of crowds) it was pretty good. I only really didn't like the fact that some trunks were linked to a mobile game.

Setting was pretty fun and in general it was nowhere near the awfulness that ACIII was.

That said, Black Flag and Syndicate are both excellent and even better.

Building a new PC, something is bugging me.

The PC Case Gear prebuilt systems are almost identical in price to buying the components separately, maybe only $40 more on a $2k system

It used to be I'd save $100s putting together my own rig vs a prebuilt but those guys have really narrowed the gap.

Now I'm torn, do I buy parts and assemble to save $40? My time is money too and I've built so many rigs over my life that putting another one together isn't terribly exciting or challenging. On the other hand it's the principle, I can do it so I should do it. Or should I?! Lol.

Also trying to decide between an i5/970 rig for around $1500 to last me a couple of years of regular gaming or go for an i7/980ti for around $3k and making myself VR ready. Tough choice!

If you're getting it shipped I'd build it yourself, have heard a few horror stories of people shipping completed desktops. Also go for the i5/970 build IMO, new cards are due soonish and you're better off dropping that extra $1500 on the new cards as they're looking to be a pretty big game changer. The 970 will do you nicely in the mean time.

Yeah good thinking, my $1500 970 build was pretty much my temporary rig design and a direct result of Pascall being just around the corner. I might even do a beefy i7 6700k build now and make everything VR ready except for the GPU which I'll just uprade when the 1070/1080 Pascall range lands.

Good tip about shipping too, at least if I build myself I'll know everything has been properly seated.

New $5 note available around September.

It's something, not sure what to think of it

What is it with Big W or Target not getting games on release day. Big W told me to go back on Thursday. And in the past they and Target both told me they don't get games in until later in the week. But sometimes they do. And all the other shops around have it in but they're more expensive.

But Target had it in this time.

Meh, we'll see what that $5 note looks like in person.

I was hoping they would use it as an opportunity to ditch the Queen and replace her mug with a more contemporary Aussie icon, like Dick Smith or something.

They don't give a shit about games, because it's such a small part of their sales.

They were probably more concerned with getting a billion copies of Star Wars TFA in ready for today.
