They confirmed no SP dlc months ago, its not happening. Im hoping they have put everyone on this to get it out sooner.

You know what I want? More Rockstars Developer videos. The ones released for RDR were kick ass, and actually highlighted much of the games best features and mechanics.

If I have to I'll send you a damn 360 and my disc. No one should have missed out on that gem. The multiplayer hoarde mode was divine. The wave start dash to the coffin for power weapons...

Undead Nightmare is some of the best DLC there is.

May 2017 is what I've been guessing for a while, and if they really do surprise us and reveal it at E3 then I could definitely see that happening. The only thing that gives me pause is the fact that what, there was like two years between when GTA V was revealed and released? Guess we'll see.

Wasn't there rumours saying it has been 4 years in development? If it's 2017, that could mean 5 years possibly. Really excited to play it or even see a leaked image of it.


btw, it needs a PC release too.

And am I reading this right: the RDR map is part of RDR2, or it's just showing where it would be? From the leak, it looks like the whole map is part of the game.

the only parts of the Redemption map in RD3 will be the Tall Trees/Blackwater/Thieves Landing areas and a small part of Hennigan's Stead. According to the leaked map there is a town in the latter 2 areas.

i just hope they don't take it down the same road as GTA and introduce Red Dead Online. i mean i loved the multiplayer in RDR so i'm not saying there shouldn't be any multiplayer but i just don't want them putting out the game then ditching the SP portion like they did with GTA V and just put out free updates for online and then force people to buy in game currency with microtransactions. Episode from Liberty City and Undead Nightmare were great examples of DLC but I guess what matters to Rockstar is not what the players enjoy but what makes them the most money.

I know technically it's not the same studio who is making RD (San Diego) than makes GTA (North) but if GTAO has made Rockstar 500,000,000 then I wouldn't put it past Take Two to tell San Diego to work on Red Dead Online.

If this does happen then I will be done with Rockstar. GTA and RD are the only two games I like them from. They've ruined what was my favourite game series of all time and if they mess up Red Dead then I just won't buy any more of their games.

I love the idea of a prequel but I hope we don't play as John. Run into Dutch's gang, have interactions with them, absolutely. See John's struggle from the outside, but not have it be the focus of the narrative, you know?

I'm with you, man. Red Dead Redemption's online multiplayer made me extremely excited for GTA Online's possibilites... but now that we've seen GTA Online, I'm extremely apprehensive about what they do with Red Dead 3's online multiplayer

I hope we get a Red Dead Online just so we get the same amount of customizations and options for our character like GTA instead of having to just pick a character or template. Plus Rockstar supporting and evolving the multiplayer to the degree like GTA Online has me excited at the possibilities.

I mean RDR only had 1 SP DLC and I never finished it. lol The Zombie horde mode on the other hand me and friends constantly played!

No, because we already know everything from RDR and what was interesting in his character was that he saw and endured the consequences of his actions from his life the whole game. We know his gang, their personalities, what they did, who they met, how they split up, why, and what happened after that. His story was told this way and that was the best way because it had a vision and was not a random Call of Juarez or whatever.

That would be the most boring and lazy plot they could come up with, especially given that they take more than 6 years (!) between each game. The Western movies and the history of the US is so rich, they have plenty of great ideas that they can build around for new game systems and stories.

Rockstar North (GTA) and Rockstar San Diego (RDR) are completely different development studios. RDR has literally no effect on GTA development, as different people altogether are working on both.

I look forward to this. Since its a prequel and they didn't do a remaster, I would love for them to build the original into this for the entire story on current gen tech.

That's true, but still it's quite clear we're not getting SP DLC anymore for it. The whole team is focused on GTA Online and that doesn't seem to be changing anytime soon. It's ok though. I really want to see Rockstar's new game now.

Rockstar North did give a helping hand to San Diego's studio for RDR though, so you can bet that they're probably giving some help on this one too.

Only when needs be, also usually pretty late in development as well from what I have heard.

They still have each studio come up with concepts, and such. Just like how R*SD is developing RD3 and GTAVI is in early Dev stages at R*:N etc.

Eventually most of R* North will help with final stages of RD3 and then other studios will help with GTAVI'S later Dev stages.

The only problem is that the way you obtain the money is design in such way that you'd rather purchase the money.

I always "work" for it though. I'm not purchasing virtual dollars for a game.
