I don't know what the standard procedure is with promoting new CoD releases, but the only reason they might opt to showcase the PC version (which is all but certain, I think) is so that they can get away with demonstrating the game at a higher fidelity without outing the super-secret PS4k or whatever. No one has said anything about a PC release so we should presume they're console captures.
You know what I mean. It's what your new generations are gonna look like from here on out.
I'm rather unimpressed with the visuals in infinite warfare. When I compare it to other games like star wars battlefront, it looks mighty poor. Seriously Activision needs to develop an internal engine that is on the same level as FB3 or the new CryEngine. They are behind this gen when it comes to visuals and it's really embarrassing. M.W. remastered looks good though.
At the time it sure as hell did
Is there some type of stream going on today guys?

"I keep this one handy for close encounters"
"Too right, mate"
It's all coming back to me :'I
Yea the whole IW vs MWR is really obnoxious at this point, I was only excited for MWR at one point but I'm coming around to IW.Yea. While Modern Warfare is still my favorite in the series, surely there's more artistic merit in Infinite Warfare, a sci-fi game, than a period driven title - the latter means you ultimately just copy source material. I think people are being especially brutal on the new game. It's anything but "generic" and uninteresting. I don't think that's fair to the hard working developers at Infinity Ward.
It's actually almost an accomplishment how generic and uninteresting they managed to make this man look.
The MW remaster stuff looks great though, definitely a notch above what I expected.
For CoD and for its time, sure. It really is a product of its time. But I can't understand how someone can then turn around and call the new space setting generic.
It's really telling how people are more excited for the remaster than the new game.
I am hype for a slower CoD. Calling MW1 slow is weird but it is compared to CoD games these days.
I'm not saying anything about the game's quality. I haven't played it. I find it ironic people and yourself call settings and premises like the one in Infinite Warfare "generic" while praising a modern or past setting.
Are they really not going to sell MW Remastered standalone? That doesn't instill me with a lot of confidence in IW...
When is the remaster out?
We also had years of modern gritty shooters trying to copy CoD4. There's a reason devs are taking the Sci-Fi route with shooters. Are you guys serious? We've had years of futuristic garble through Halo, Destiny, and Call of Duty. Its not exciting. Seeing what used to be, a to-the-ground war game that was the original Modern Warfare is nice pat on the back for us tired of the average futuristic shooters. It makes more sense to call the Infinite Warfare screens generic to the current shooters rather than the other way around.
They're worried MWR might outsell it.

COD 4: Modern Warfare: Remastered
Yeah, in half an hour.
Which when you think about it is hilarious. Activision could sell more copies of a remaster than a brand new CoD for less money than it costs to develop the new game, and they don't want to do that? Okay then. Money on the table.
It'll sell well regardless. In the end they'll make more by charging $80.Which when you think about it is hilarious. Just kidding (kinda), but they'll most likely sell it separately in 2017.
I do think our forum is very much the people the remaster is targeting though, which is people who picked up CoD with CoD4, but weren't necessarily annual customers afterwards.
Just to make sure I'm on the same page.
Generic and uninteresting:
Bastion of originality, creativity, and true art:
I can kind of get the first complaint, but like, really? Call of Duty 4 was a lot of fun, but the setting is as bog standard as it gets.
The problem is these games have to be developed on a yearly cycle by different devs who have different philosophies on making a CoD game better than the last team.Higher sales of a remaster is probably the biggest indicator the fan base could possibly give to Activison for where they want the series to go.
I forsee a return to last gen, where there is nothing but modern military shooters forever and ever. We had a fun run with CoD trying new things with near and far future offering new gadgets and gizmos to augment movement and combat but it seems people just want last gen back where it was all brown and grey and very grounded.

wut
they are literally releasing the most far future game they ever did with infinite warfare
It looks like an navel officer using his Class Bs. Terribly generic! Maybe add a few scars, an eye patch, give him a cigar that'll make him unique!
A younger Lord Hood from Halo!?
Also.....good MW remaster shots
