Yeah I think that's a very respectable range for franchise blockbuster action movies. The >8 range always seemed too high, so it's balancing out now I guess.
7.5-7.8 is very high for any action movie that's not Fury Road. In the 8 range is something truly special. In the 9 range is like once a decade type shit.

That was incredible guys. My new favorite MCU movie. Even at about 2.5 hrs it never overstayed its welcome. I was on edge the whole time. Well written and well paced.

I was reading a handful of reviews on RT today (mostly rotten ones), and there were several negative comments about Panther. There wasn't much praise for Boseman in what I saw.

I think it would be difficult to criticize any of the portrayals. All the actors seem super into their roles in this movie. It's not like Jennifer Lawrence in those X-Men movies where you can tell she doesn't want to be there.

Good point. Going by the trailer, it looks there was a Carbon Monoxide leak on the set of the new X-Men movie.

That's what I figure, but they go out of their way to downplay their efforts. Mind you I haven't seen the film yet, so I can't say anything myself, but what some reviewers were saying goes against what many others have been.

The fuck.

I believe one exact quote was "Boseman is as dull as kitty litter".

Good point. It's weird how MC video game scores are so different from their movie scores. I guess the video game industry really does operate on a 60-100 scale.
Yep. Metacritic is very open about the fact that they put "positive" at a higher end of the scale for video games because game review scores are so inflated.

Man that is really depressing. That literally destroys the whole point of scaling then. If there is no consistency then what is the point?

I mean, 10 Cloverfield Lane is 76 there and GTA 4 is at 98. How the heck does that make sense? Ignore that they are two different mediums, GTA 4 got good reviews when it came out (although I and several others thought it was overrated) yet 10 Cloverfield Lane, an AMAZING movie (even with a controversial ending it is an amazing movie albeit not perfect) does over 20 points less.

Like people have said, points and scoring system shouldn't matter on people's judgements on movies. Having said that, I have never liked Meteoritic. Horrible rating system when it comes to movies at least.

After seeing this movie my I'm sticking to my 2 billion prediction this movie is going to be huge. Repeat views and word of mouth are going to be insane for this film.

This movie is going to do fantastic, but come on. Two billion is "worldwide phenomenon" numbers.
