Okay, it's live to all on XB1.

Here's my starter mod list, if anybody is interested:

Yeah, can't link my account in game on my Xbox, could not log into Bethesda's servers.

Good thing there's so many games to play right now.

Yeah, it will return. It's impacting me as I can't get in the Mod section now to disable certain mods.. So I'm just stuck with a broken game. Haha. But they're working on it.

Are there any mods that extend the range of current settlements? I always felt that Castle should have let you build all the way up to the run down diner.

Really interested in the flora mods but I know it'll probably hit me with a lot of slowdown. Just wish the environments were more green.

Also there's a "Clear skies" mod for Far Harbor which makes clear skies and more visibility, but I think I'd like one in the middle... just more visibility, even weather more like the commonwealth, rather than raining all the time.

I want to create a mod that fixes the "You can't do that in power armor" when you go to hack a terminal that has a chair there. It's like... you have this massive set of power armor that makes you resistant to nuclear radiation, yet you can't move a chair out of the way to hack a terminal.

I don't understand why a dialogue mod or hair styles mod would disable chievos.

Bethesda probably just don't want to check every mod to deem which should and should not block chievos. Disappointing though, still hoping someone can figure out how to unblock them, but I doubt anyone will.

I mean the dialogue mod won't fix the terrible dialogue and voice acting but it's a positive step.

it's cheating to know what the character is going to say. part of the fun is guessing.

Look at Basement Living if that's available on console. It adds trapdoors you can build in settlements that take you to bunker player homes. That and the M14 are my favorite mods.

Just saw the conquest mod, hngggg.

Does anybody know if there is a equivalent to the scrapper mod for console? That would come in handy when I would like to build a main hub.

Okay, things are getting more stable on Xbox One. Here's some grabs straight from console.

Here's me with both Piper and Dogmeat as companions at same time, at a vault entrance for a vault I built. Piper has new hair and face.

Here's unlimited crafting supplies:

Here's a work in progress graphics and weather mod I'm making:

Do you have the unofficial patch mod installed? Kinda curious to see if it has any affect on the game's performance.

I'll install it now again and test. I've used it before. I also have a way to capture footage from Xbox One and time FPS, so I'll do that too.

Okay, I have it installed again. I can't see any performance hit visually. I'm recording footage to measure mathematically, but it looks good to go.

Because if not they would have to check what each and every mod does. Just because a mod is labelled crazy hairstyles mod does not mean it doesnt give you unlimited crafting supplies under the hood. Modding is cheating and bethesda giving only achievements for playing vanilla fo4 is absolutely fine.

Thanks for the info, was kinda worried it might mess with stuff due to it changing quite a lot.

Two things I learnt today from this thread. Mods on consoles are awesome and people still use the word chievos.

it's a great word!
and I'm a lazy bastard!

Added the strong back mod and it didnt do anything to my equip burden, and added the cool new vegas helmet but I cant find it. Am i missing something?

I think with that mod, you have to get into your Power Armour to recalc your carry weight. When looking at comments, you can scroll down with right stick. The UI doesn't tell you this - they need to surface some of the UI stuff a little better.

In other news, one of the cheat mods (which are the most popular mods btw, hence why "chievos" disabled) adds NOCLIP. If you've ever got struck on a quest, this is a godsend. You can use it to fly through walls.

Now the hunt begins for that sweet spot of armor appearance mods that lie somewhere between the boredom of vanilla, and the ludicrousness of battle bikinis.

It is not a glamorous quest, but its is my quest.

Hey now I can login to look at the mods, forget trying to download them, it kicks me right out.

Keep hitting download and it works.

Also, at the login screen don't type your details again. Just press B to back out, then press Mods again - it stores your details. Just keep doing that each time you get booted.

Also, this mod.

this is fucking cool. I wish cosmetic mods didn't disable achievements.

if I get a mod and have it on a save, can I go back to my old save and have the mods be disabled? I guess ill have to see how this works after this modern firearms one finishes downloading.

Hoping for something that lowers enemy health. Ridiculous that I go down on Survival with 3 bursts of a pipe auto pistol, but it takes twice as much to take out a scummy raider, and I'm expected to fight several of these chumps at once. Impossible to consistently use anything but sneak and VATS. The friggin' first deathclaw one hit me in power armor but took 300+ minigun rounds to go down.

Also, are there any mods that remove some of the dumb armor conflicts? I hate how so few outfits are compatible with armor.

From what I've read it creates a separate save folder for modded saves as soon as you start using them. There will be an unmodded folder of saves you can go back to.

Here's what my game looks like with 38 mods on Xbox One. I've used less than 10% of the available mod storage.
