Pulled the background image of Horizon's PS Store listing (its up for pre-order). Does GG have any official newly released wallpapers or images anywhere?

People still thinking this is Neo footage. Come on. Have you actually seen Killzone? Like not in compressed videos but natively? Uncharted 4? Ratchet and Clank? Driveclub? Infamous Second Son? The PS4 can output some incredible visuals, nothing here really suggests that Horizon is on any other level than that. It's the natural progression of first party developer really getting the hardware to sing, as always happens on consoles. To me it looks on par with Uncharted 4.

Some levels on Uncharted 4 are pretty expansive and don't suffer graphically. Killzone itself had some pretty large levels too. I'm sure their open world will be well designed in such way as to optimise everything. The amount of doubt and disbelief about this is just kind of sad.

You think the graphics in this trailer are the same from E3 2015? ok man

Clean out those eye boogers

Did you saw some similar gameplay scenes like in gameplay video a year ago? No? And also graphics in gameplay sections in gameplay are not better than a graphics a year ago.

Clean out those eye boogers.

We saw last year's gameplay video ( which was captured on a PS4 ) and it looked awesome and also there was no Neo rumour then. Now, a year later, gameplay scenes in latest trailer looks the same graphically IMO ( i didn't noticed any graphical advencement vs. last year gameplay. But according to some logic here : it's a NEO version. LOL!

And also some graphical upgrade happens ( KZ SF had some graphical updates too ), according to some logic here : it's a Neo version.

That's bullshit.

U4 had some minor graphical upgrades. Hey, it's not Neo version.

With the PS4K/Neo looming in the background, its pretty obvious why people think that. It's not like previous generations where developers had new hardware halfway through the generation to develop for and push their graphical fidelity further. Especially with the rumors of Sony requiring games coming out after September to be optimized for PS4K. I would like to be optimistic like yourself, but I've seen enough disastrous situations of games scaling up and down on PC hardware, PS3 multiplatform issues and XB1 struggling at times this generation to think it'll be all good a rosy with future vanilla PS4 games once the PS4K will be out.

Best wishes.

Does any one have any idea how long the game will be? I know Guerrilla mentioned dozens of hours of gameplay once, but that is about the extent of it so far. Hoping for around 40 to 50 hours at a minimum.

I bet GG have a grin reading all these neo posts.

I'm pretty sure this trailer is representative of the original PS4. It seems to me that GG has achieved an open world graphical feat and some are finding it hard to accept their achievement because of what we know about the neo.

Horizon: Zero Dawn caps taken from potato-bitrate 7Mbps trailer, unfinished, open-world game with fictional stylised characters. Limited footage to pick from and potentially dozens of important characters.
Until Dawn caps taken as lossless PNGs from released and patched, compact environment game with scanned actors as strong basis for characters. Entire game to pick from nine playable characters plus another 3/4 just as detailed extras.

What are you trying to say with these images?

Horizon looks a bit better.

UntIL dawn had choppy performance. motion blur and anti aliasing isn't half as good as what is present in horizon. Top it all off the game had a fixed camera and no dynamic time of day. In a sense, Horizon is doing much more impressive things.

Hi guys I've been watching a E3 recap from a french video game website and according to what they've heard Horizon Zero Dawn might be pushed back at the end of 2017.

Sadly I can't remember when in the video it is and I don't have time right now to find it.

If a fellow french gaffer want to take time to time stamp it here's the link:

http://www.gameblog.fr/news/59500-benzaie-vs-julien-chieze-le-match-uncharted-4-e3-2016-la-pas

For people wondering if it's true or not the journalist who spilled the info is a chief editor and works for what I consider the most trustfull french website about video games.

He also mentionned a few intel about upcoming games and platforms, I don't know if this is threadworthy.

Having watch the E3 2015 trailer, Gameplay work-through from last year again I can see this being PS4 footage because this trailer seems to be all cut scene footage and given the time since then I can believe improvements being made + it being cut scene footage can result in this.

Considering they just announced a release date of February 2017 yesterday this doesn't make any sense. Not saying it won't be delayed, but I doubt it would get delayed another 8 months or so unless something goes seriously wrong in development. Whoever said that must have some bad info.

It also depends where she struck it. They have weak spots

True.

True.

I can't respond to everyone here so I'll just answer the last one.

It's just the journalist and what he heard a bit it may just mean that at one time the game was planned for late 2017, maybe in the meantime the hirred or soleved a problem I don't know I'm just reporting what he said.

He talked a bit about the NX too and some of the interesting tidbits I gathered from the video is that the NX was planned to launch this year but pushed back to secure more launch games.

He also said that 2 big japaneese companies were working some deals with nintendo.

And when he mentionned the former president (I don't know if it was presendient I can't remember) of platinum games had left platinum for Nintendo and that Nintendo might really be interested in buying Platinum games.Maybe I should make of it?

If a mod consider it thread worthy please feel free to tell me.

Trailer looked gorgeous. I'm not getting the mounted combat though. So on the ground, a single arrow does normal damage, but mounted it can one shot a raptor sized dinobot?

Loved some of the new dino designs from this trailer, specifically the croc looking one. I wonder if the gameplay areas are going to be more open-world, or if it's sorta scripted as to when you're going to fight each encounter, in a certain order.

Lots of questions still about this game, but it's definitely on my radar.

A couple of possibilities
-Damaged Dino, basically this Dino could have had less health. Could have been in a fight with someone or something else.
-Different arrows/different bows. It's likely that some are better than others.
-Mounted gives a slightly higher position which could make it easier to hit weak spots. Like imagine a headshot you are 2 feet too short for, a mount can help with that.

Hey I'd love that to be PS4 footage. But we're just making educated guesses judging by the latest footage. It looks amazing. Even alot better than Uncharted 4. Uncharted 4 in my opinion is the best looking game on console. Horizon looks even better and being open world.
I'm not really seeing anything that's mind-blowingly better than the previous trailer, or much better than Uncharted 4. Horizon and Uncharted to me look like they use their strengths in different ways.

gorgeous looking game, but the writing couldn't be more generic. i felt uncomfortable listening to just how bad that was.

That trailer has sold me. I like my games to be story driven.

However, I hope the writing team is not made up of the same people who worked on Killzone Shadow Fall.

Whoever the deep-voiced character was, he didn't seem to be expressing much emotional range in the voiceover, even though the lines could have brought across all sorts of different tones.

Im not the biggest fan of Guerilla games (their writing and stories are bogshite awful) but they sure do a good job in world building and art direction. Killzone games and this have some great environment and character/mechanical design.

The game looks fabulous as usual but I care more about how it plays, this is Guerrilla's first open world game.

Look, if you think this trailer and last year's gameplay demo are the same graphically, then I dunno what to tell you.

You talk as though downgrades are a foreign concept.

People don't believe this to be non-Neo graphics with good reason; it's open-world and we've not seen a console open-world game look this good before (or even close!).

Because this is 1st party and 3rd party are compromising for mass market. Stop it.

Not sure why this is so hard to understand. Sony first party has been putting third parties to shame for the last two generations.

Let's be honest here: most of the posters who are either implying or directly stating this is running on the Neo, WANT it to be so. Regardless of whether UC4 is not a truly open world, it has big enough areas to imagine an open world could look as good with a better streaming solution. You watch, we'll go from 'that's too good to be running on the PS4' to 'it doesn't look all that' when released. It's getting too predictable and needs to stop.

she is the offspring of a robot and a human
She is the first attempt at humans combining robots with human tissue. Prior to her, robotics were implanted in reptilians due to their natural ability to regenerate tissue without rejecting it, making the combination easier, yet volatile.
Thats my theory, at least.

It looks like that happened in a cut scene. You know weapons are always more powerful in a cut scene.
