Just changed my password. They added about 200 bucks and bought some shit. Can't get to a computer for a few day or two.

What else am I supposed to do

Can't you contact Sony using the same device you are using to post on GAF at this moment?

If not have you considered calling them regards to account management.

Whatever you do, don't do a charge back.

What gaf needs to do as a collective is tweet shu and Shawn Leyden and get these guys to fix Sony's customer service problems.

They are the industry leader now because of us and they treat us like a piece of shit. So many threads recently it's insane.

Happened to me a few days ago. They spent 50 from my paypal that took it from my bank.

Sony granted me a one time refund (wtf) as a loyal customer but I dont think its going back into my paypal. But I got slammed with no fee fees out the ass from both bank and paypal.

Be nice and call customer services is pretty much only option.

Why does this keep popping up on GAF? Sony needs to fix their security protocols.
People should also stop using the same email/password combos on multiple sites. I'm gonna go out on a limb and say OP probably used the same combo elsewhere.

Source: Someone who used the same email/password on multiple sites and got like $150 of Dominos pizza ordered 1,000 miles away a couple months ago.

Also, stop storing your payment info. The convenience isn't worth it if the site/service doesn't have two factor verification.

Maybe stop using the same password for all your accounts -- user definitely at fault.

Sorry, but that's the reality of it -- unless you can prove otherwise.

Damn. Shit sucks OP, hopefully nothing major happens.

Is it me, or is GAF getting a new thread about people's PSN accounts getting hacked like every other week? It really feels like there was a lot of them this year so far.

Are we counting that thread where the guy did a chargeback and demanded free shit because he'd have to wait until after the weekend for it to be fixed?

its happened alot recently, back a few years ago it used to just be "Oh hey got FIFA'ed " I kinda got in the habit of switching passwords every month with a rotation of stuff.

But you can use the same password. Sony's security is just wack. Just read another post and they don't even have a two step program. Hell, on Steam on use the guard to be sure. I'm glad that is offered.

Well, it's better than nothing.

Yeah you CAN use the same passwords multiple places but your'e just opening yourself up to more and more chances of this happening. It's only going to get worst too.

I will never leave payment info on any service that doesn't have two factor authentication ever again. It's not worth the risk or simple convenience.

How the hell did they still not add two factor, they've been testing this for what, 2 months now?

Wait, the FIFA hack bs still isn't fixed?

the only way to fix it is to get rid of that fifa ultimate team thing, people hack accounts via same way which probably happened to OP, but what they do with them is the difference, i just know its common to see money spent on FIFA coins for those packs or whatever.

This happened to my friend a couple of weeks ago. i used the live support chat and got his account back within minutes. I just told them someone hacked my account bought nba 2k16 and changed the password. She asked about the account nickname, and email attached to it only (I wasn't asked about the address or date of birth or serial number etc...)

She then sent an email to reset password and that was that. Hell my friend kept nba 2k16 too. It was weird that his account got stolen in the first place considering he doesn't play online or buy digital games.

Gamasutra.
I've always gone with prepaid cards. Amazon being the source for the psn cards makes the whole procedure about 5 minutes.
Same here. There was some crazy time when it seems like Amazon (US) didn't have instant code purchase, but that's long ago been fixed.

Man seen a fair of these threads already. Hacking is rampant these days.

OP call Support and get your credit card details removed ASAP.
