New Pokémon Revealed- Salandit

Unless he has some massive bulk, those are all major common attack types (both physical and special) and that 4x EQ weakness is just going to be brutal or every single one of these things is going to need an Air Balloon.

Ya he's a huge check against fairies (except Sylveon, probably) but he's super exposed. And the steel types that he can poison will probably all have EQ or are Scissor.

What does Scissor have that helps it against Salandit?

Creepy as hell with a unique setup, this will definitely be one of my mains when I get back into Pokemon.

this shit is hilarious it needs to be re-emphasized

For a kid-friendly franchise, Pokemon has some of the darkest descriptions I've ever encountered. Wish there was a spin-off game or novel that could dig into some of them.

Will there be a chart before release all

X pokemon are exclusive to X game, while Y pokemon are exclusive to Y game or does that usually happen after release? I can't remember how lon it was until that info was out for X/Y

So cool and actually kind of scary looking when it stares at you head on.

A Komodo Dragon evolution would be fitting with the poisonous theme zince their mouths are known for being so dirty a bite is basically toxic like being poisoned. Though hopefully if it gets some Komodo influence it still stays an amphibian.

On further thought, not much. And this thing is actually a pretty good potential check against those three Bug or Grass/Steel walls. Ferrothorn doesn't have anything immediately obvious either. Also checks Skarmory pretty well.

That said this is yet another thing that may make Gliscor even more desirable.

Nah! Make a Komodo dragon Pokémon with an ability that poisons the opponent whenever he uses a bite move.

i believe if a pokemon is going to be exclusive to one game say will say it when it 's revealed along side a pokemon that's exclusive to the other game

it could just have Strong Jaw

People sleeping on this mon I see. Having a 4x weakness to a common attack type doesn't necessarily mean that it will be difficult to use. Heatran is a very good pokemon, for example.

Not that Steel types are all safe because, you know, part fire

So far my team that I have planned covers six typings

Grass/flying
Fire/poison
Electric/steel

Come on gamefreak now I need a great water Pokemon

Looks pretty reserved in design. Much preferred to overly spiky shit so i'm happy. Also Skarmory got poisoned? i thought steel types were immune.

It's ability is called corrosive. Lets it poison pokemon regardless of type, so it can poison steel and poison types who are normally immune to the status

Sitting on its design im starting to love his design to the point that he is my favorite so far. Hope he turns out as good as Krookodile, thats my boy.

Hmm with Corrosion, I wonder if some Poison-type (eg Acid Spray) moves will now become super effective on Steel types. It'd certainly reduce the usefulness of Ferrothorn.

To be honest, I never understood Poison being completely ineffective on Steel.

If this thing is a special attacker then Gliscor is not a counter, Hp ice may OHKO it

It's pokedex seems to indicate it being more of a technical mon than a wallbreaker, though Pokedex descriptions don't exactly translate into stat distribution!

Poison damages organic things, and steel is cleary not organic. I know, not all steel pokemons are robots like Beldum, but they are still covered by metals and that prevents the poison from making effect. "Corrosion" makes more sense, cause it gives the idea that the poison is able to go more deeper and bypass their metal armor.
