So is reprojection from 60Hz to 120 the magic bullet or are there consistent reports of visible artifacts?and the fact it's running at 60fps (120hz via headset through reprojection). That will certainly help the motion of the game.

Looks like a PS3 but thats to be expected. Hopefully Neo mode pushes it up to PS4 quality graphics.
It's going to look like Starfox to get this running well enough.

Hate to be a downer but from that video you really cant see the graphical quality of this.
Seeing it on a screen doesn't translate how it will look on the PC VR screen itself. I haven't used a psvr but I do own a vive and something like project cars doesn't look so hot once you have the headset on. Curious to see how the Ps vr fares with lower resolution screens.
Are we talking launch PS3, PS3 slim or extra slim?Looks like a PS3 but thats to be expected. Hopefully Neo mode pushes it up to PS4 quality graphics.
This exactly, everyone is looking at the break out video and critiquing the graphics details.
Yes the style, art and assets will look the same in the helmet, but there is a whole other level of the VR screen stretching, screen door pixles, and the darkness and blurriness that comes along with any VR helmet.
I've played a Vive and I've done a demo of Playstation VR, PS VR is good, just a bit more hazy than the Vive, but nothing like the Samsung Gear level of haziness.
I just want to stress, enjoy how a game looks, but remember you are looking at a breakout video, not footage through the helmets screen, which can only be experience when that screen is strapped to your face..
Graphically, from what you can see in this video anyway, it doesn't look half bad. Still looks fundamentally like Driveclub. Hardly a PS2 game!
Happy I own a wheel!
Not happy I need to buy a new version of Driveclub...
Since these guys are paid to sell you on all things PlayStation, I'd say he did a pretty good job on convincing me to check out DriveClub VR.
Does dynamic weather and time of day work in VR or is it static?

No, it's a standalone game with some new tracks.Isn't this a free expansion?
The leaked japanese playstation blog post said it'd launch on october 13 with psvr, but that was taken down. The recent post on the US playstation blog just says it's going to release in 2016, so we don't know at this point if plans have changed.Holy shit, I didn't even know this was a thing. Will this be at PS VR launch?
While this is true, don't forget that this game is developed with VR in mind, it's not just a patch (at least I assume so), and PSVR has often been lauded for its quality despite the lesser specs.
Live for Speed on the DK2 looked astonishing. Remember, 1080p too and limited tech.
It looked amazing because the graphics were simpler and everything was fine-tuned for VR. I'm hoping this is the case too.
DC has the advantage of having high-quality assets, something you don't find so often in VR games.
If it makes you feel any better its all new tracks. And theres a Discount if you have the season pass.Happy I own a wheel!

Git gud eyes.Your talking about the game's graphics, I'm talking about the Blurriness and pixel effect you get from the VR goggles. It's something a lot of people don't get over. If you read the thread on here about the PS VR demo. A lot of people mention they watch the breakout monitor while they are in line, but when they used the VR helmet they complained that it looked bad.
All I'm saying is don't pick about the graphics from a VR break out video, you have to view them through the googles to see what it will really look like and how it will play in motion.

Which is what I said in my first post in this thread, I agree.
I was just putting things into perspective. It won't look like the mirrored footage, but it's not going to look like complete shit once you play it, provided enough work has been done on it.

The video is taken from the feed that the breakout box sends out to the tv. That may have started getting some lag due to processing/converting the incoming feed down to a 2d screen that he may not have actually experienced in the headset.Whats going on with the input lag at this part - https://youtu.be/VkPSZMFYSzk?t=162
Seems fine at the start, then big delay with wheel and headset motions
Ah gotcha, and I agree.
Also you get use the the fuzziness that comes from having the VR screen so close to your eyes after a few mins. In a demo you are often overwhelmed by it and of course the whole 3d Vr craziness..
Understood. It's like games look good in a small size gif. Those pixel will blow up once they are in your face.
I tried some gear VR, I can handle those, PSVR should be better?
