Sony PR's had a tough couple of weeks.
- Two straight months of weak sales against an (also weak) competitor who now seems out for blood
- The biggest 1st party release of the year (and only PSVR killer app) delayed to 2017
- PS+ price increase with no new features to justify it
- PS4 Pro unveiled to tepid reception (and lacking expected features like UHD physical playback and performance enhancements in multiplayer)
- No mods support for one of the year's upcoming biggest titles
It doesn't matter who's to blame. The optics make all the difference, and the customer decides with their wallet...
LOL do you really think that any of this has any material impact?
PS4 Pro tepid reception?
It's number one/two on amazon since it was announced.
It's just that some people have been waiting for a loong looong time to get something to talk about negatively, so whatever they get is used like ammo for stupid console wars.
About the mods I hope they can work out a solution, but if these mods don't work well as they are (there's no control on performance, system stability, audio files not working, possible glitches), why should they pass quality control?
Things like max amount of space allowed instead are stupid and can be easily modified.
