If you press the windows button with R, or select run in the search windows options, type "appdata" and hit enter, you'll see the "Roaming" folder.

what do i need to do to disable mouse accel? also, is it just me or is the mouse also fucked in the menus? seems like they get stuck on the edges of something. it makes hacking anything remotely difficult pretty much impossible.

is it just me that is having severe framedrops? 970 here, and depending on the scene, the game goes to 30 fps, when in the original game, i could run this easily.

It's so weird to go from Forza Motorsport 6: Apex, in which I get great performance at max settings (as I do in many other modern games) to this remaster...and it's a stuttery, jittery mess. Sure, it's technically 60fps, but damn sure not smooth. Thank goodness I didn't pay for this...

Is it possible to play this without vita chambers?

The 360 version got an update after release that let you disable the chambers and you got an extra achievement for playing through the game like that (with 100GS)

Yeah, the option is there to disable them. Same achievement, as well.

I didn't realize I had the game in my library. Must have gotten it from a humble bundle years ago. It downloaded the remaster without hassle. My god this game looks perfect. I didn't expect to have so much nostalgia when replaying it.

Yes, I've had some noticeable frame drops while I was just walking around. Not sure what's causing it atm.

Games has frozen/crashed twice while transitioning to the map in the last 40 minutes  Other than that, i'm enjoying my first proper experience with Bioshock!

So many issues with this fucking remaster :

- Bug in animations : firing with the gun looks like its missing some frames

- Jointless character models : the shadow of the crazy woman crying for the gun in the baby carriage makes it obvious, her hand isn't connected to the arm

- LOD issues : some assets' textures don't show until your right next to them

- Sound issues : audio is just a mess ... I can't even hear the sound of my gun ...

SHITSHOW.

I started the download for this but since reading the thread I've decided to cancel it. I'll just reinstall the original and suffer slightly worse textures and possibly effects for better sound, water, and framerates. Besides, I haven't even finished my first play through of Infinite yet, so I shouldn't be ignoring it in favour of 1 again.

Won't someone just make a texture pack that steals the textures from the Remaster and applies them to the original? Best of both.

lol been playing Bio2 and noticed that they left in the developer console in the game...

I think tab accesses it. I wonder what you can do with it? Haven't played around with it yet.

No clip so you could find the big sister spawner

Command "fly" lets you zoom around the environment, but I haven't been able to find a traditional noclip command yet.

Hope they leave it in, would be fun to fuck around with on a second playthrough.

Standard UE console commands apply. Ghost would be noclip and walk would disable flying.

Having not played any of the Bioshock games yet, would it be best to play the original rather than the remaster for better performance? I've got a 2500k & a 6950 2GB vid card.

Yeah, I figured that out. Bad news is the game doesn't render the environment outside of where you can go normally, so once you go outside of the level all you see is black. Makes it hard to explore shit very well and basically impossible to find stuff the devs left in the game but cut for whatever reason.

Still, so awesome to find a noclip mode for a game I love come out of a halfassed remaster in 2016! More devs should include it for shits and giggles, such a classic and fun little thing to burn time if you're bored. Too bad crashes are killing me in Bio2R. I've gotten about 2 per level thus far.

Bioshock 2 R just gave me a hard crash.

Sigh...as much as I love playing this game, I think I'm going to shelve the remaster until they patch it up. Anytime a game bungles itself so bad it forces a reboot it's probably best to wait on it a bit.

Also, Bio 2 has mouse smoothing and acceleration options in the game options menu in game now...? I could have sworn they weren't there yesterday o_O?

EDIT: yet another hard crash, not 30 minutes after I rebooted and started into Siren's Alley. Yep, I'm done.

Damnit, I deleted the originals and are downloading the remasters at the moment.... looks like that was a mistake going by this thread.

(What is the point of higher res textures if they look gray and flat, completely different from the original textures? Metal beams used to have this metallic glow to them and now they are just dull gray?)

I have a question, do I need to finish Bioshock 2 to play Minerva's Den? I never finished that game but I really wanted to play the DLC since people are always praising it.

EDIT: Also, Minerva's Den doesn't show up. I assume it installs with the full game?

Playing the second remaster with no problems so far.
Had to fix a few things in the .ini files but that was all.

You know what's really shitty? How the original Bio1 and Bio2 are no longer for sale in Steam. This has become a huge pet peeve. The "HD" Dead Island rerelease was an especially egregious case, being worse than the original in many ways, yet replacing the arguably superior originals in Steam's store.

At least you can get Steam codes for older, better versions from third-party sites, but that may not be true forever...

You will get old version too when you buy the remaster. You just can't buy them separately.
