To me it would probably start at 10,000 LP right now (since the numbers keep going up). That's what? Top 5,000 players?
It's just the point where you're actually using everything the game and your character has to offer, can adept and execute. I don't think players below that are doing all of it.

I was surprised with the amount of scrubby play still present in gold. I used to think once you get gold you'd start seeing only "proper" play but nope.

How about "not scrubby"? I know it's hard to gauge skill, but I'm just curious what rank most people consider to be the point where you're actually playing higher level street fighter and no longer relying on gimmicks. From what I've seen, Ultra Gold/Platinum is what I should be aiming for now.

Yeah, I noticed this too, and it's motivating me to try and get good enough to rise above Gold since I still really struggle against that kind of play.

I'm learning ibuki and the bane of my existence are jumpy Ryus. I keep thinking I'd crush you with necalli, birdie, hell, even gief as I take another L.

I'm just starting to play Plat players and its the same lol. I guess its maybe around diamond rank where you can relably find good matches

I mean...you just have to be a nut in this game to a certain degree. If random DPs, jumps or dashes are your metric then it'll never end lol

Yeah let me spend maybe 30 minutes on SFV when I get home so I can get in this list lol. I left off at 7100, but that was over 2 months ago. I'm sure the points have trickled down quite a bit since then that I can actually reach platinum without needing so much luck.

Accidentally left my console on fight request as I was talking to some friend at the door. Came back to find some Karin landing a perfect.

I picked up the controller and took the next round with a sliver of health, followed by the third round but much more convincingly, shutting him into the corner very early and watching him jump into Rashid's anti-air super for the win.

It was a ranked game so I imagine the guy felt pretty disgruntled. My friend remarked that that was 'the most convincing sandbagging he'd ever seen'. I found it pretty funny. I really was not ready to play a game.

My winrates usually hover around 65 but they've taken a bit of a hit recently as I've been learning Urien. Same thing happened when I picked up Alex so I'm not too bothered tbh.

I got 800 each in ranked/casual. 1600 games since Feb. Seems pretty low :(

I do have my offline matches played, haha.
