That's the weirdest thing though. The game does look a tiny bit better. Without a patch.

I believe that is because the console outputs and upconverts games that below 1080p to 1080p. BF1 is 900p without the patch. What you are seeing is probably the pro upconverting the game to your display resolution. It's doing it better than the vanilla ps4 or tv.

Dynamic Contrast is post post processing garbage. I don't use it.

Do you have the backlight at 20? You manually have to adjust it to 20 for HDR in Game Mode as there is no separate HDR preset at this time like there is for movie mode.

once you've used a free trial, sony doesn't generally let you redeem anymore. they would need to be including a non-promo subscription code which i've never actually seen outside of retailer bundles

For some still on the fence, I recorded two videos in order to show what kind of advantage super sampling will give you on 1080p sets.



The super sampling clean the image of shimmering effects in the distance. In the case of Second Son, I rather play with the cleaner IQ at 30 fps of super sampling than the near 60fps experience (maybe if it was perfectly stable I would change my mind)

It's pretty cool that super sampling allow you to see through the fences. I'm ok with this kind of upgrade for all future titles on ps4.

Then without fail I get a timeout error.

About 1.5h for 230gb of data. I deleted everything but the essentials before backing up

Is this process going quickly for you? Does internet speed factor in?

It isn't exactly fast or anything, near full HD on a vanilla PS4 and it will be ready in a few minutes, so it took around 100 minutes or so, but I guess that isn't terrible either. I don't think the internet speed has anything to do with the transfer, as it is a LAN transfer through and through (or should be).

Ok so i booted up World of Final Fantasy and I got a weird issue. The graphics feel grainy, especially the characters and monsters.

UI seems crisp and environments too but all the characters look grainy/low res and it's bugging me
