Can anyone confirm if the menu/text language be changed like in MGSV? I'll be buying the game i nJapan and I'm all for the Japanese dub but item names and text in Japanese is gonna be killer. I gave up on the Japanese version of Kingdom Hearts because of that.
Any updates on places in London that sells the game early, PM if so.
It was possible in Episode Duscae and Platinum Demo. So I'm sure it'll be possible in the retail version too.
The open world (first half) lacks variety in the environments. Mostly desert.
I still think that the focus on a worldwide release with multiple european languages all on day 1 really stressed them to focus less on quality. FFXIII was released after its Japanese release so they had more time to work on it. I don't remember any other mainline FF game getting a worldwide release.this confirms they really blew it with the english VA. it's pretty unacceptable
XIII was better, 6 years ago (and still heavily anime influenced)
XII was a decade ago. not good.

Theres a small game shop owned by some guys here called Book Box in Kagoshima. Got my copy of SFV a few days early from them. Gonna go tomorrow morning, too hung over to get off my butt.
The real question is does FFXV include the vocal version of Somnus.
plz no, the vocal version is lifeI anticipate a string quartet version, a piano concerto version, a rap version but no vocal version.

Has been my biggest worry since the first screenshots, but at least it sounds like it improves
Unlike the prior entries however, Final Fantasy XV isn't extravagant in its design, nor does it hit you with its eccentricities as soon as you begin. It starts subdued, and somewhat bland. You realize it's a fantasy title thanks to the monsters roaming the landscape, and the strange points of interest dotted around you. Maybe that's fitting thanks to the slower pace of the earlier chapters, but it's also no less immersive. Taking influence from the United States, the Caribbean, and several European countries, it's an amalgamation of styles that leads to quite a cohesive and engrossing world that grows stranger the deeper you head inside. It's a pretty clear design choice, and it works quite well. It's a fantasy based on reality after all.
The journey through the world somewhat reflects the journey of Noctis and his companions. It begins in a relaxed manner, and the earlier areas reflect this. The opening area is about as bland as I've seen in any game, but by the time I reached the end of the first region, it began picking up. More interesting visuals, stronger contrasts, and more fantasy that crept in. The changing of day to night, and the weather helped add further atmosphere and believability to it all, especially as the enemies you encounter can differ. It's those touches which make this world feel more alive and sparkling with personality than ever.

How the fuck are you supposed to follow all the banter in Japanese? I hate reading subtitles for every single thing that has been said. So annoying. How can you fuck up the VO so bad?
Sorry...but Persona 5 or even P4G, are not nearly in the budget region of FFXV.
The subtitles are kinda tiny too. I think it'd be hard/close to impossible to pay attention to them in the midst of battle. English is really the only viable option for me.
But I don't have a problem with reading subtitles, unlike you, been reading them all my life.
This probably has been asked before but with banter being different between the Japanese and English version, will the English subtitles correctly reflect what's being said when playing with Japanese dub?
I really doubt they translated the game twice.
However at the same time he mentions it lacks plot events and cutscenes. Now a lack of plot beats and events has been in FF since X...but it was particularly bad in XII and XIII.
No way XIII's VA is better than XV's... really?this confirms they really blew it with the english VA. it's pretty unacceptable

That day comes November 29th, 2016.
Favourite game since Metal Gear Solid 3.
Second favourite Finale Fantasy of all time.
Game of the year.
Game of the generation.
Tabata era. Bahamut represent. Balee dat.
? But FFXIII is full of cutscenes, it's the most cinematic FF out there. What you mean
I liked it. Thanks for sharing.Off-Topic:
Someone made this awesome fan trailer with Sins Of The Father. Final Fantasy XV - Sins of the Father
Thank you so much for your impressions, Verendus.
Man, what the fuck? Real talk here, reading that made me tear up. I've never had anything like that happen to me just by reading someone say they liked a game. It's absolutely ridiculous.
I guess it's the feeling of relief because yes, it is good. I didn't wait so long for a game that ended up being kind of shitty. All of the hard work to desperately trying to buy my PS3 back in 2008, fearing the game would come out and I wouldn't have one, hahaha, a PS3 was worth months of my salary back then.
I've believed all the way through, but I guess there was still some doubt in my heart, since I'm feeling like this after reading his thoughts.
I welcome Tabata as my new king, can't wait for his next crazy ride in this new IP he wants to work on.
BALEE
Imagine how awkward/hilarious it would be when we were overhyped by Verendus's big words, and comes the review day, the game scores less than 70. Not likely it would happen, but someone's gonna drink a lot that day.
