Wipeout Omega Collection for PS4

I won't say anything more other than I definitely feel like the skies the limit. It's impossible to do particle effects in the theme software, but I've found creative ways to 'cheat' the system (see the Area X theme)

This was a quick mockup I put together last night, now running on the PS4. ;) more cheating here to create reflection effects, HDRI look.

Again, this is us just playing around right now. Nothing official and no word currently on even the remote possibility of being able to create something in a formal capacity. But I can dare to dream :(

I hope they see that decal and give you guys a call!

Also, thanks for getting those music packs back online, looking forward to giving them a listen since I wasn't around when they happened originally.

People need to keep tweeting and retweeting :(

Well.........Improved textures and lighting. 16xAF, 8XMSAA and TAA downsampled from 8k....Supersampling for both 4k and 1080p users.......IQ overload.

It's dynamic 4k, I can't imagine it being rendered internally at anything larger than 4k to supersample it down to 4k.

Personally, I'd prefer a theme along the lines of 2048

It was so damn clean.

I'm a big WipeOut fan and while being happy for this remaster I feel a little underwhelmed by its graphics. Graphics effect and illumination could have been given some care I think.

2048 to this day is one of the best games on Vita. HD & Fury were also some of the best games on the PS3.
Really excited for this.

2048 is probably my number one Wipeout game. I beat the game twice (due to data corruption), but I didn't care. Love the game.

This game in 60fps on the big screen is a dream come true.

The UI is likely the best ever.

y'all should be ashamed
I'm most excited to see 2048 in HD. It was hard to appreciate the details they were going for on the Vita screen. Such a cool idea for that game too, never gave it as big a chance as I wanted to.

Nice, it looks just as I remember. It's really amazing what Sony Liverpool got running on PS3 at 1080p@60fps.

I thought that it was some dynamic rez thing on PS3?

If you had never played Wipeout before and watched that first race in that clip, you would think the racing was boring! I know he admitted it, but dude seriously needs to learn how to control his ship!!

And I have to say it, Wipeout HD was my least favourite in the series. Found the tracks overly sterile.

Looking good at 4K 60 though.

Trust no one. Eat steaks.
I love Wipeout as much as the next guy but I wish this package wasn't the most recent games and instead a new career/championship path with 4-6 reimagined tracks from each game in the series.

Not entirely sure I will get this since I pretty much finished HD/Fury/2048.

Honestly? I wouldn't stop at one. :)
I remember the dynamic theme for PS3 being pretty sweet, I'd be happy if you could just "port" that one to PS4.

God isn't just real. He fucking works at Sony.
If he did, he would have made sure Studio Liverpool were still around.

I'm kind of the same. But if we had new tracks, they wouldn't be by anyone who worked on any of the series previously, so the best way to ensure we get decent tracks is if they just ported them.

I actually would have loved to see older tracks though. There are a few that I loved from each game, but given they all had TDR artwork on them and they're now working with R8 on Formula Fusion, it was probably never going to happen.

Thanks to Arekkz Gaming for getting the high quality capture, wish it wasn't limited to YouTube quality but the remaster's looking very promising.

I'm glad people are happy for this but I'm not really impressed at Sony recycling these same Wipeout games yet again instead of making a new one.
