Hopefully he's not referring to all the rumored remasters lol. I'm cool with them, but Nintendo has to bring new experiences too.

XB1 and PS4 launches were both shit. It won't take much for the Switch to have a better lineup. Zelda alone should make it better.

When my friend bought his Launch PS4, the only game he played for months was Resogun.

Theres was nothing good until Infamous: second son, in his opinion.

Don't play dumb, you know what I mean. If we get an abundance of remasters it'll be a little annoying without a slew of fresh content behind it.
Dont worry they will show plenty of new content for it,at worst it will be a year when half of releases are U.ports,BUT witn Pokemon. ZELDA,Rabbids and new 3D Mario this year is already guaranteed to be better than the last two.

I'm angry.

LttP isn't even the best 2D Zelda. Spirit Tracks is even better than it.
I would even say ALTTP is the worst 2D Zelda game if the NES games didn't exist. So unfairly hard. Graphics and music are very good but its way too hard and controls badly.

Now I'm sad because I was about to replay Spirit Tracks for the first time but I can't find the game anywhere. Theres a huge closet where it could be but looking for it would be a nightmare. I probably won't get to replay it before March since I was replaying the majority of Zelda games in 2016 for BOTW. :(

I could've sworn I had it out too but I didn't find it anywhere. Guess ALBW will be my Zelda replay this month. (The actual best 2D Zelda.)

I'm just reading into Geoff's tweets a bit, I'm actually incredibly excited (remasters and all). I've got a few friends that are actually getting a Switch that never picked up a Wii U so I'm hyped to play Splatoon 1.5 with them.

Nintendo's launch games have been historically solid, especially during the US launch. I really won't worry much about the launch games, even if a big chunk of them are a lot of the rumored ports.

I'm sure Geoff has never had to sell a shit sandwich for his job before. Like, an entire awards show worth of them, for example.

Alright, I traded shifts so I get off at 6:30 PM PST on Thursday for the presentation and I have all of Friday off for Treehouse streams

I'm so ready

Wait a minute. Treehouse for me is 6:30AM!

Guess I get to watch before my class starts. First time these Nintendo events take place before I have class or don't have to work.

Its like they love me

I just hope that Mario switch answers the important questions we've all been waiting for:

Will Mario get his moonshine back?

Will Bowser finally be able to meet his idol, Al Capone?

Will the Mushroom Kingdom reverse it's stance on Nuclear Warfare?

But really, I'm starting to feel the hype build. It's a good feeling, being hyped for a Nintendo product again.

So I was talking with a friend of mine earlier and our convo lead me to ask you guys this....where does the Switch build up and eventual launch rank all time for you as far as the hype meter goes?

I mean I know we (gaming in general) get hyped for just about everything nowadays but genuinely where does this land for you personally?

For me, I haven't been this truly excited for anything gaming wise...hardware, software, etc. since probably the reveal of the Wii and maybe since the PS2 launch.

This console has the potential to be a realization of something I've dreamt about and always wanted...not to mention where I'm at as a gamer it suits me perfectly. I do pre-order a lot of stuff but I'm 100% ready to go all in and drop a shit ton of $$$ on it and games right at launch.

So I'm just curious, where does it land for you?

At this point I'm just excited to hear about Nintendo's games again. It's been over a year since they've actually said anything about any of their big projects aside from Zelda and Pokemon.

The port criticism is actually silly. Really silly.

The last time (before Wii U) a console had an underwhelming user base and great first-party content was the Dreamcast. And lots of those games were ported, and gamers rejoiced. Lots of folks played those ports who had never played the originals.

What's different now?

If gaming is all about GAMES, and it's the GAMES that matter, then why are people being snide about Nintendo including the amazing games they have made for their new console that lots of folks who didn't own a Wii U are likely to be exposed to?
