May 16th, huh? That's about a month longer than when most of the NRS fighters have come out.

Either that, or Boon means that the next news we'll get about Injustice 2 will be on May 16th.

I think the no dimension-hopping thing might be a fake-out. No way they're not including Joker or Luthor.

So I don't remember the injustice story lol does this mean no green arrow? He has to return. :( i mained him and Kung Jin in mk(I have an affinity for bow characters)

With Injustice 2's story picking up right after the first game and only 28 characters on the starting roster, it makes sense to withhold dead characters as DLC. I could easily see Joker, Luthor, Nightwing, and Green Arrow each headlining a character pass.

If they want a charcter playable, they'll be playable. The story shouldn't affect that. They're two separate things. Worst case if they sonehow decide a charcter has to be in the story to be in the roster, they can just throw in a flashback or use the built in loophole of it being a multi-dimensional universe with clones. They built that fail-safe into the story.

..or make them DLC if they're being super-strict about it as mentioned above. Although making a charcater from the last game DLC will probably not go over well with a lot of people, I suspect.

Oh is it confirmed there is only 28? Don't forget Superman and his whole child murdering scene lol. Shit was ruthless.

EDIT: Also, dead characters could come back if they confirm one other character and a surrounding plot point :p. Someone get a Liam Neeson skin ready just in case.

Boon said we can expect "around 28 characters," which matches the character select screen.

If I recall the boxes were pretty narrow already. If they have a lot of DLC, they may have to do some major resizing or rearranging.

Does anyone have screens of the MKX, MKX KP1 and MKXL select screens? Can't recall how they did it there.

I could easily see them reducing the height of the boxes for each character so they can have a 3rd row without using up more overall screen space. That would make space for 14 characters right there!

Or maybe build on the sides? Put them "behind" the 3D model characters and build upwards.

We still have to see Flash gameplay. Captain Cold and Dr. Fate are pretty much confirmed too.

I'll stick to my prediction that Swamp Thing and Constantine will be revealed later this month.

As for Supergirl-like Updates i wanna see a better Aquaman face, a new Batman pose and a new suit for Superman.

So I'm playing through Injustice 1 again, started doing the arcade mode for every character, and will do the story mode after. Are the character endings canonical to the story, or just bonus fluff? Because for instance in Raven's ending, she summons her father who runs rampage, and Nightwing becomes a member of the Sinestro Corps.

The endings are generally non-canon, but they all could be canon, if that makes any sense. IIRC some of MK9's endings became canon in MKX, but most of them were ignored. That's probably what you can expect from the transition from Injustice to I2.

Question of the Day:
Assuming Ares is not returning, what Wonder Woman villain would you like to be playable?
Cheetah perhaps.

... She really has a rather weak rogues gallery compared to most. Don't think you can make Giganta playable, either.

I haven't been keeping up but do we have a voice cast yet?

Laura Bailey voices Supergirl
Kevin Conroy voices Batman
Tara Strong voices Harley Quinn
Phil LaMarr voices Aquaman
Susan Eisenberg voices Wonder Woman
Troy Baker voices Deadshot?

I dunno about the others, sorry

Some have argued that Matthew Mercer (Jotaro, McCree) is Deadshot.

I'm not gonna lie, I think all DC characters outside of Batman have really weak rogues galleries. I always was a Marvel guy, so a while back I only really knew some very basic DC stuff from watching the Batman cartoon back in the 90s and the big movies, but have been getting a bit more into DC through the CW shows, Injustice and (I shit you not) the Batman Lego games.
So like, discounting Batman's massive rogues gallery, the only ones I could've named was Lex Luthor, Bizarro, and probably Sinestro cause of the terrible Green Lantern film, maaaaaybe Reverse Flash. And I think before the TV shows in particular, most people would've been in the same boat.
DC never really tried to build up their villains other than Joker until somewhat recently, and it's still mostly Batman villains that are getting the treatment (Harley in general, Penguin in the Gotham TV show, etc.).

Batman and Spider-Man, sure. But the Flash? I think the X-Men have a probably better known rogues gallery than the Flash.

I think, much like Batman, Flash's villains are fleshed out to such a degree they have their own fans. Xmen has some real notables, but none with as large of a fanbase as Batman or Spiderman's.

Superman also has a pretty sizable collection of well-known villains: Lex Luthor, Darkseid, Brainiac, Bizarro, Doomsday, Metallo, Parasite, General Zod, and so on.
