That was great.

I kinda wish they went with Radioactive instead, only so everyone that day will imagine Tommy Merlyn looking up to them from the street. lol

Seems weird without a Madden title coming, but Super Bowl gonna Super Bowl.

edit: at work, so can't watch just yet. Was just a general statement

I got to say Nintendo nailed it with that ad, i'm also glad they went with the Zelda focused ad for the one that runs during the game.

The extended one is really good too

That is a really good commercial. Seeing ARMS showed off so well in a super bowl commercial makes me very happy.

I'm a believer!

This is a great ad spot and perfect venue for it. The extended version is going to do a lot for them I think. Follow it up with relevant demoing on morning talk shows and other stuff like Fallon, Conan and so on could be really great.

Conan really needs to do a clueless gamer with 1 2 Switch.

I'm glad the 30 second cut didn't show motion controls at all, it makes the system seem much more appealing to young adults.

Having the system only being played in the dude's house in the 30 second version is a huge mistake if you ask me, it doesn't fully display how the system is different from the Wii U.

they definitely fired the marketing team they had during the wii u era

Thank fuck they did

The Wii U should really be taught in Universities as one of the biggest marketing & product failures of our time.

Conan really needs to do a clueless gamer with 1 2 Switch.

Oh god this is perfect. Now you've just disappointed me because I know it won't happen. Seeing his reaction to Milk or the Champagne game would be priceless.

Love the short Zelda one. Not a fan if the extended one. Too much casual, waggle game focus.

Nintendo's Pro Bono PR Firm
I'm certain most Swirch users will play it in bed before sleep, so it's smart they showed this use case.

Really happy they're doing a Superbowl Ad. Spending some of that Mariners money. Makes logical sense given launch timing.

Think that was the first Switch ad where I can't find any flaws.

Might be hard to cram it in, but I'd have him walking outside or something instead of making breakfast so it's 100% clear it's not a Wii U thing.

The extended ad has the kid/dad playing ARMS which looks super goofy and uncool because of it and the kids having a party playing Mario Kart (which again, makes it look uncool to everyone). But pretty much everything else is quite good.

He played it in the bed and the kitchen. It's more than enough to show that the switch is a portable device

Honestly.

Nintendo is knocking it out of the park.

Dare i say I can see this catching the eye of the people who only bought a Wii.

People bought a Wii because of motion controls and Wii Sports

People will buy a Switch because of....Zelda?

You'll need a more interesting software+hardware combo to become something like the Wii.

Funny that after all the 'home console' focus, the advert that will be most people's first point of contact with the Switch shows it as a handheld you can dock.

Personally, I think that's a good thing. But it goes against what Nintendo were saying and the way their other marketing was portraying it.
